Honestly I'm very glad that people still use lightweight forums and IRC. Makes using them with spotty mobile Internet easy.
Yeah, I'm not happy about my past behaviour either. shakehead

Thanks guys. It's good that everything is back up. It is such a difference.

SO I've been doing some musing and some simming. I've tried two initial variations and 4 midstream variations on my sandbox. Each time I've been attempting to get Buddhism and then the earliest settler I can. The earliest that I can get Meditation without nerfing the whole game is t9. If Bob goes directly for it I believe he can get it t9 as well. So I'm not sure if I should or not... I mean Bob starts with myst and mining. If he goes religion first his worker won't have the tech to improve any food resources. And he can't do WB first without also teching fishing first so that he can work the tiles. Sooooo I think I'm okay if I get buddhism T9.

The rest of my sim tech path is Meditation>Mining>Hunting>Wheel>Agr?

Here's what I got:

t8 grow pop2 work fish
t9 Buddhism - start mining
EOT9 WB completes
t10 start worker
t11 fishnet ready
T15 mining > start hunting
EOT16 worker complete
t17 start warrior, worker to RivergrassHill
t18 start mine done t22
t20 Pop 3 hunting done>wheel
EOT20 warrior
T21 Mine finishes, work mine, start settler
t22 Worker to deer
t23 start camp
t26 camp done,  Wheel done- start agr
t27 start road
EOT27 Settler done
T28 start (7t)settler?
T30 Agri done

So by T28 I have:

Buddhism
Pop 3
1 WB
1 worker
1 Warrior
1 settler
Mines, Deer, Fish, and 1 road complete

Then I can either grow to 4 for 6t settlers, or go straight into a second settler and have that settler completed T34.

I think that's pretty good!

The picks are done. The game is started. I guess its time for some opponent analysis.

...I'm still tired. I think I'll do this later instead.

I dunno man. I had to stop it was such a time sink. Now here I am again. I’ve got class tonight and tmr morning and then again the next night and the next morning, so I expect I’ll be really tired the next few days... on top of what I already am. My daughter starts online class tomorrow so that means more for me to do to haha

If you get any free time tomorrow that will be an impressive accomplishment. Murphy's Law is going to reign supreme. We'll see if education is ready for the virtual fall....

I played 1-2 games at a time at most, and basically never spent an hour+ on a single turn (at least once we stopped having full diplo...), so I made it work.

Part of the online work is videos so that should give me an hour or so. But yeah its a real time suck.

Oh my, that's two fresh water wheat. And that's two PH ready to settle and share food.

I'm going to settle the PH West of the deer to share deer and hook up my 2nd city the turn it settles on T29. The current micro plan is perfect for this. And with the second border pop from the cap, that wheat will be available to farm without the 2nd city's border popping. Then I think maybe the third city is on the southern PH and will share both wheat ... Or maybe it'll be on the FPH further SE along the river and closer to all the FP. That still shares the wheat from the cap.

OH SHIT I just noticed I forgot to set tech this second time I played... it's supposed to be meditation. Oh well. I think I can just set it next turn and be okay. My tech path is designed to make the best use of techs as I tech them, staying just ahead of the workers need.

There is more food in this little bit of map than I saw for half my island in that last PB I played (41,42?)

Naming convention is Overwatch. I started with my main, Zenyatta.

I haven't fixed the civilization name, but I'll do that next time.
