We've met Azza. And he moved his scout North rather than his warrior, so no military threat from him soon, and he appears to want to discuss peace.

On T2? I regard this as confimation that you're right about the repeat distance. Which means the important question is whether the world looks like this:
Code: x----
-x---
--x--
---x-
----x
Or this:
One leaves a lot more room for peaceful expansion than the other!
If I'm thinking of this right, Commodore's southern baby seal site has crabs, sheep, and fish - and if you moved the northwestern seal 1N, it would be the same city, again with crabs, sheep, fish. As a Creative civ, you can be confident in keeping an entire BFC for your own. So these would both be strong city sites, albeit the distances involved makes that perhaps a bit aggressive? But then maybe we should be culturally aggressive, we'd much rather fight inside culture than outside it, if we have to fight.
Peace is also very good, Fin doesn't pay until you've had the time to outtech people.

Oh yes, it is definitely the line setup, the cross wouldn't be balanced, at least anywhere near as easily. Which is good, because that means that NE and S are probably safe to expand to. We told serdoa to have room for 10-15 cities so unless he ignored us we have to have room up there. Plus now we can pull the scout back to explore one of those ways.
That seal location would be rather pretty. And we can hold the bfc with culture easily. We would just have to not piss people off to settle there. Maybe azza will be okay with that for a long NAP since I imagine he wants to stick around this game. We'll have to see who our noorth neighbor is though. Fingers crossed for cheetah.

Pictures to come in an edit later.
Summary: - Scout moved W/W to go explore S in a few turns, we already know what's down Azza's way and are getting ready to sign a NAP with him, no worries from that direction.
- Fishing finished, will start BW next turn.
- Most importantly......
- wait for it.......

- THERE'S GOLD IN THEM THAR HILLS! 1 NE of the second fish we have found to be exact. Just out of range of our seal cities
But we can put a city towards the N/NE of our capital and grab the gold, the sheep, and share both fishies. Win much?

Side note: While I'm waiting for the save, if anyone lurking here wants to help me out as a lurker/teammate in Pitboss 5 Redux that would be "gee golly whilikers swell."

Thanks for the offer - but there's too many good reporters in PB5 . Plus I'm probably way overcommitted at the moment anyway. You'll just have to aim to make all your mistakes over here
