[SPOILERS] scooter's AW lunacy - De Gaulle of Native Americans

scooter Wrote:I'm going to get my next border pop in 11T. Actually, it may be sooner than that since Henge may double in culture soon..? Can't remember when that happens. Anyways, point is that I'll get the marble on that pop. Now, if I was in Cyneheard's spot, I would get the stone instead, which is preferable to me since I want Pyramids. Now, thankfully since just me has Henge - there's no way anyone else will get that 4th pop nearly quick enough to get that stone so that won't threaten my Pyramids... However, if I was in Cyneheard's spot I could save a ton of hammers with that stone. In theory of course I could hook that Marble and 1T Oracle with hardly any trouble at all, but that's probably more trouble than it's worth.

I noticed the stone/marble thing too. It seems strange that we each randomly had access to one but not the other. It turned out to not really matter, I think, but in theory it could have made a difference, forcing a player to one wonder plan over and against another.

Also, I noticed that you didn't do hardly any early exploring. I guess that was a necessary by product of protecting yourself while rushing to the Stonehenge. I would say early exploration meant I was able to have more XP on my units which really helped early (being CHM was a boon too, of course!)

This was really unlucky for you. He had no reason to choose you except dumb luck I would think. Retrospectively, it was a bad move for him to keep your city, though that doesn't really make it any better for you.
