GE's Palace theme again (spoilers)

Turn 112 & Paul Hart has fallen.  After some early success, killing about a 1/3 of his stack, the best defended city couldn't hold out 

As I suspected, another massive stack of Adrien's Cataphracts emerged from Dreylin's culture .. seriously, who lets a rival army walk through their territory? 

Another round of Pike whipping, but I feel it's the beginning of the end for me. 

Pickle rejected the trade, but at least didn't declare war himself.  Both he, and Dreylin, better hurry up and attack me as there won't be anything left soon.

Note to self; ignore the early UUs when choosing a Civ!

Turn 113 & Tony Pulis has fallen! Adrien lost only 2 more Cataphracts in the process ... BOO!!!

Whipped some more Pike, but it won't be enough to save Alan Pardew.

Pickle's about to finish Gunpowder, so at least he'll be in better shape when Adrien, or Dreylin, come knocking by having at least Muskets in situ.

Turn 114 & Alan Pardew has fallen! Adrien lost only 2 more Cataphracts again.

The capital has switched to Sam Allardyce (I suppose that makes sense); which is now getting heavily defended & will be a hard nut to crack, when he gets around to it.

Also 4 more Pike whipped.

Turn 115 & Dougie freedman still stands .. amazingly!! Adrien lost 6 Cataphracts, whilst he managed to kill 2 of my Pike. But he stopped his attack even though he had plenty of reserve and my remaining units were badly injured! the city will go next turn. as a result of the victories, a Great General appeared in Sam Allardyce, so those units there have been improved.

Managed to get one more round of Pike whipping in & promoted a Warrior in DF to a Pike (not 100% sure how he survived intact though)

I haven't had a chance to open the save but all of those builds (pikes) would require iron. Since you're losing cities pretty quickly here my best guess without digging into anything is that you've lost your iron resource. Can you confirm this? If this is the case you would not get to finish any builds which require iron and would need to go for a longbow or something else.

Confirmed. I logged in and looked at the save. You lack iron. Since you also lack copper it looks like your options are either to beg for resources from someone else or just spam longbows.
