Also, I suppose we need somebody to create a folder for PBEM 33 under the PBEM main folder? I'm not sure who is supposed to do that, but that would probably be good, so we can go ahead and set up our threads for each team.

One More Thing!
I was leafing through some of PBEM 13, and it appears that there they did all of their diplomacy in-game in the chat logs, which is a separate tab up with the event log, which looked nice because it ties the communication with the game and specifically your turn each turn, so there's not that bloat of email we were worried about.
If you all don't wanna change anything this far into the settings process that's okay, but if you would like to use this in our game I think it would be pretty cool/simple. Thoughts?

But is it done publicly or privately?

in this thread ... otherwise other people would have no idea what you picked, hence being unable to pick those as well (given that we're not playing with Dublet's unless other said) ... but lets wait on a forum for that

Ah, ok then. I was thinking it might've been a preferences thing done privately, but this probably simplifies it a bit.

I'm not keen on this. Since the idea is for all diplo to be public, we'd have to take screenies of the logs whenever we've talked to someone.
That said, it'd be a very good idea to always list the turn number whenever you post in the diplo thread. And a small entry or link in your spoiler thread would also be a good idea. One of the main ideas with the diplo rule is to cut down massively on time spent on diplo while still getting to eat our cake.

I believe BRick was suggesting that we do the ingame diplo instead of the Open diplo. I'm fine with either personally.

Yeah, It isn't anything too complicated, Azza, you'll just post your choice of civ/leader right here in this thread so we all know since it does influence our picking. Now, I've seen that a lot of the time teams wait until we have our PBEM folder and our own threads before making choices, and that's usually done in order to get some sort of input from any lurkers on their choice, or to be able to flesh out their grand master plan before selecting something. You have the choice to do either since you're the first on the pick list, if you wan to go ahead and claim your first pick already knowing what you want you are welcome to go ahead and do so, but you're also just as welcome to wait for our own threads and maybe discuss it a little bit or whatever else you wanna do.

Well Catwalk, as slowcheetah mentioned as well this is instead of open diplo. how it would work is we can chat with each player individually (and there's even a category to send to all if you wish to make use of it), and it all remains between those players in game. It does allow for some closed diplo (i.e. not everyone seeing all of the conversation), so it's somewhat different than what we decided on, and any of the diplo that we wanbted other people to see we would have to take screenshots of and post that to the thread. I just thought it would be an interesting option to consider, but since we've already kinda settled with open diplo there's no reason to overhaul that if no one else is keen on that

Thirded. Resolutions suck in MP. :P
