While checking in for the dozenth or so time this turn to see if I need to log in and play another turn yet (I don't), I did a little counting on fingers and toes. Since, 8/22, the last turn completed before I subbed in for Borsche, six turns have finished. In 92 days...
We aren't even managing a turn every two weeks. Carry on.

In 92 days...That's not really fair; you have to start counting around where the game restarted (which is about a month later)--that still is about a week and a half per turn, but we had a good stretch in October (before REM started having computer problems). Though, to be fair, it really shouldn't be paused right now for dtay, unless you're taking Thanksgiving into account...
Not a huge difference between 1.5 and two weeks IMO -- BGN's point is well taken. Hopefully REM's computer issues are behind him, and things will pick up a bit.
As for dtay, I thought we were pausing for everyone at this point unless there is a compelling reason not to do so (and granted 20 days with no turn roll is pretty compelling...). But if dtay is indeed AWOL, then we will have to court another sub to keep going and should remain paused for that new player to catch up. Interestingly, this game would then be left with only 3 original players (taotao, REM and plako) against 5 replacements FWIW.
It's probably time to get a lurker or sub to move dtay's turns along. Did he post a password in thread? Lurkers, anyone who can assist is awesome.
Yeah I had a lot of PC issues with the moving to the new laptop and windows 10, although that will not be an issue now it is set up and I have got my head around the read only fiasco.

mackoti has tentatively agreed to take over to dtay, but he can only play once a week. I am sure at this stage of the game that this may be welcome for some, and not so much for others.
We also still need to see if lurkers can find the PW in dtay's thread, or if Brick can break in and reset. EDIT: Password located! |
