and the word was 'contrafibularities'
Welcome to the saga of Lord BlackHammur and whoever else I decide to introduce to the thread as things go on! :weed: (hopefully that is the only time I see that smiley in this thread!)
I moved the starting warrior NE to see if the land around the marble was worth settling and discovered that although it looked good, tile bleeding seemed to suggest that there was coast N of the Marble and so settling for it would not be worth giving up the plains hill start.
As moving the settler S would be a big gamble if the land surrounding the Stone was not as good, as I would waste both this turn and the next one just to settle back in place, so I decided to settle where I started.
BlackHammur's new dwellings
Lord BlackHammur does not do manual labour and so he has begun by recruiting a serf with no internal thoughts and will do what he is told. A Baldrick perhaps? To recruit him quicker, the rice tile is worked first as working a town would mean 3 extra turns waiting for a worker in exchange for 1 less turn of researching mining.
In that time, I can have the rice almost completely pastured and get growth to size 2 much faster and churn out another worker.
My initial research path will be: Mining -> Bronze Working -> The Wheel -> Pottery
Build path will be: Worker -> Warrior -> Worker -> Ikhanda
The Science of Deduction
Demographics
It would seem that so far novice, Ruff & ad hoc are all working a town instead of the rice given my higher food score and lower GNP. I also believe that all of them are working the grassland town given the averages. (Food - 4+4+4+0 = 12. 12/4 = 3 | Production 2+2+2+0 = 6. 6/4 =1.5 - rounded down to 1)
By the inequalities in the soldier count, it would appear that I am fortunate to have received an Aggressive Warrior instead of a scout I should have gotten.
