I personally don't see a problem with copied instead of mirrored, because the key there is to have the same starting point. Now, I think we need to know how the mirror/copy is rigged before we start, but as long as everyone has the same start, I'm fine.

And Krill's going to look for a relatively sparse map, I believe; cities don't have to produce as much, so they don't have to have the same quality of land.

I haven't seen Krill online recently, so I don't know when he'd expect to finish a map.

Krill says he can get a map together by Wed. or Thursday.

I'm also EST (or rather, it's EDT right now due to DST), so I'm similar to Cyneheard it sounds. My most consistent play time is the evenings but I'm really flexible during the summer. It's probably best for Cyneheard to be slotted just in front of me then. Lewwyn->Nakor->Cyneheard->scooter may be best?

Well, I'm flexible now...but since I'm job hunting at the moment, my schedule could lead to long days fairly easily. I can always play at night (and am more than a bit of a night owl), so I think Lewwyn --> Nakor --> Scooter --> Cyneheard, actually.

Great! How are things going with the map?

Krill says he'll get the map done tomorrow. I think he's going to make it so that the four of us are in individual mirrored (or copy-pasted) columns, with cylindrical wrapping.

Does anyone have an opinion one way or another on whether or not Espionage should be in the game? (This includes passive demographics/research visibility/city visibility: I can tweak the Mod to basically do all the RB Mod changes that were necessary for the No Espionage setting to function properly)
1) Remove all possible sources of EP and spy slots (this includes the EP-only buildings of Jails, Security Bureaus and Intel Centers) (Easy XML removal)
2) All GSpy points will be replaced with GMerchant; this should really only affect one NW: the Forbidden Palace. Since this is a one-shot mod for this game only, I can hard-code the changes in the XML
3) The NoEspionage setting would be turned on (that's Krill's problem)
4) Cultural borders would be unaffected; I can easily remove that in the XML

Note: Krill claims that he was almost at city visibility in PBEM5B when I conceded after losing my best hope at keeping up, Liberalism.

I'd say go withouth Espionage.

Ok, Krill is going to turn the NoEspionage setting on; I have confirmed that it does not increase Culture Costs. (This means that we'll have full graph visibility on contact)

The Mod required for this game: PBEM 22 It is XML only, so it should work on a Mac. Note: Being a PBEM, you can load the save file directly, and BtS will automatically load the mod to play, as well.

Full set of mod changes:
1) Corporations and World Wonders are removed.
2) Forests and jungles should not grow naturally (untested due to length of time required to confirm the test; Forest Preserves SHOULD still spread forest/jungle as usual, if you decide to build those improvements later)
3) Mines will NOT pop resources.
4) We Love The King Day should not trigger unless your city is like size 100 or something ridiculous like that.
5) The 30% known-tech bonus. (I can put that back if we want; for a 2p duel, it could have perverse effects on how we play.)
6) Global Warming
7) Intercontinental trade bonus (I forget why that was a big deal)

Espionage-related changes:
1) Remove all possible sources of EP and spy slots (this includes the EP-only buildings of Jails, Security Bureaus and Intel Centers, which are gone).
2) All GSpy points will be replaced with GMerchant; this should really only affect one NW: the Forbidden Palace (WP is changed as well, but it shouldn't be built anyway).
3) The NoEspionage setting will be turned on (this way graphs are still visible)
4) Cultural borders would be unaffected; I can easily remove that in the XML
5) Spies require the Future Tech to be built; I don't think it'll even matter, but it's just an easy way to make sure we don't forget about it completely in the event that NoEspionage isn't turned on (like, say, me in PBEM4 forgetting that we'd banned SoZ...)

I wanted to send the save along to Lewwyn, but @Krill, there's a problem: There needs to not be a colon in the game name. It gives me an error message when I try to create the save.
