I saw their reply and your last comment to them too ... 
Personally I'd favor to take the risk and try to build the Oracle at least for "deniability purpose".

It depends what they offer, and until we get a firm compensation then I still plan to rush ahead as best we can

Don't have the save or how to check it - how many turns will take to complete The Oracle now ( without any chopped forest ) ?

Ok, lets see what we want to ask for:
MC - costs 450 beakers at a time when we don't have multipliers
Therefore Oracle = 450 gold
Lets say we give up on the rush and hold it, we will about half build it
Total cost of Oracle = 150 hammers, therefore fail gold = 75
So they are gaining 375 gold beyond what we are.
They will probably win if we race (note we don't know their techs as we don't have C&D, but I assume they have priesthood, but note that Hinduism fell to Moogle not them though.)
Other point is payment, they can't actually pay us right now, and it will be a while till currency, devaluing the money.
So I think 100 gold at 1% interest/turn is reasonable.
...ok that said if I was in their shoes would I pay that... nope.
There is a chance at least Moogle is going for it too, hence even if we back off they are not guaranteed it, plus they probably think they can win anyway and hence would not pay that sort of cash.
We could ask for a non-compete on 2 future wonders instead, they may go for that?

Not only gold. In this early stage of the game it could easily offers the GPP for our first Great Prophet - which will build Holly Shrine etc.
Don't know what to say ... honestly ...

To be honest : maybe I'm wrong but this kind of deal - " Let me complete this wonder because I'll pay you 10 gold/turn between T 95 and T 110" ... well ... I have problems to give enough trust that this will be respected. 
And as long as this is a multiple player game we also can't actually agree on a "wonder-partition", no ?

We can agree between us, but yes it doesn't change what the other 2 may be doing.
As for trust, I think I would trust Noble and Lewwyn to stick to the deal would it be made.

Big decision this so I want your backing on the decision, the choices I can see are:
1. "Sorry we are racing"
2. "150 gold by T75"
3. "Promise to not compete on 2 future wonders of our choosing"
Do I understand correctly your vote is #1 ?
