You're right, the one under discussion the capital is building will be Zul'Drak assisting, I just had been working on assumption re: second city work boat. duh Bad reporter, no cookie for me.

So - is it worth delaying Zul'Drak for a couple turns in order to get Magellan's launched faster? +1 move for the whole game could be quite significant, and might depend on those turns.

Had a wretched morning and it unfortunately looks like the sims will have to wait until tomorrow.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Got it.

...and played. Nothing all that interesting out on the westward waters, just green land and more coast. Assuming seafood there are some pretty nice little locations out here, with enough land for a cottage or two at each settlement, with a Cothon and Currency, these spots will pay for themselves nicely.

Here's the homeland for relevant discussion. Zandalar makes a settler, and starts a WB while growing, 4-turns. Second city goes 1S of the dry wheat (2nd turn after being built), and immediately builds a WB while growing, 5-turns. So the net loss exploring is only two turns, and it takes that long just to round the cape anyway.

Demos. Nice fast second city there, Yuri or Rego. On the plus side, we're the only folks to have good mines down, and it looks like BW is still a trollish monopoly. For our food-poor start that MFG is more important than usual, as without granaries or farms the whip is much less efficient, but working mines is how we're keeping up for now.

Things are looking up, I think.

Ok, that makes sense. I forgot to take into account the distance saved by walking the settler a couple squares rather than going all the way around the island.

Got it, played. Just another day in Nofoodallia.

Need a name for the next city in two turns!

Not oodles of time here to report, long day of customer visits today. Gist is, set research to Sailing as our workers will have plenty enough to do as it is. Explored a little more, nothing cool.

Next turn, we'll be settling Zul'something over here in the west, 5 turn growth and 5 turn WB build working cows.

Meanwhile, Zandalar is working on another WB and growing, should probably work to prioritize getting it a farmed FP or two next.

General worker micro thoughts:

The dry wheat farm is not needed by city 2 until it grows again. Once it does need to grow, though, the massive 4 food will help it speed up nicely without stealing from the already food-poor capital. I figure first we can grow to size two on the work boat, and then we'll be perfectly positioned to steal the mine and make a 4-turn worker, much needed. Then it's growing time.

The capital, on the other hand, will be growing to size 3 and then I assume make the settler for chilly Zul'Drak. This is an at minimum 65/11=6-turn build, which can be dropped by a chop if we'd like (and I think yeah, we'd like). Ideally the chop is the forest 1S of Zandalar, to speed the settler's way down to the ice hill. Once the second city grows to size 2 (6 turns from now) ideally the capital can swap to working a FP farm, and a second FP farm would be nice both for fast growths and also to gain a net 1 commerce over working the unrivered mine.

With two FP farms whipping is finally feasible, too, although I wonder if maximum efficiency would be to allow the second city to steal one FP farm at size 3 to get to size 4 fast, then build a settler to a 2-pop whip while a capital-made galley comes around to pick it and a worker up for stone/horse island. This would give us a max-size capital, untouched by whips, able to work the three mines (all up already), cows, and FP farm for maximum hammers towards the Pyramids as soon as stone is hooked up.

Okay, I played this one, let me know if you're going to be swamped tomorrow, otherwise I'm leaving the next one to you, Gaspar. Still not doing much, but there's more interest now I suppose.

I'm more nerdy than most, I think.

The new place is growing and working on Magellan's Second. I opted for the peon to got farm the FP, I think we want the other peon to join it but either way it's going to be fine, left it flexible. Just figure we'll gain a net 1 food this way. Borders reveal that stone island (Yojamba Isle?) is just a little 3-fer, but it still might be okay with some seafood.

I found all our missing seafood, by the way. It's lurking an expensively long distance away on islands difficult to dotmap. Still, there's a nice city or two out there.

Sad demos are still sad, although chops are helping that.

Nothing new under the sun. I had the peon assist the farm. Here's the new WB reveal:
