Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

As some of you have noticed, I now and again post from work, given that I have been predominantly "chairborne not airborne" for the past few years. I have been yearning of late for a change of pace.

I just got one.

I need someone to take over my variant characters, since I will probably not be on them for the next six months.

Anyone interested in taking over SmOcchi The Bare, a Slacker, or Venomous_Valk, a throwing wench in the Elemental Throwers club? The teams may still need them once Hell Diff is reached, and I am one raid away from my last raid as of today.

I have some other accounts, but since they do not have team characters on them, they can die a slow death the way leevancleef did, which took the one HC SOJ I ever found with it. hehe, easy come, easy go!

Any takers?

Hi,

I hope the billet you've just drawn suits your tastes and gives you a chance to drive something better than a chair smile

I have no desire to take over your group play characters, since I can only handle a few hours of Diablo play a month. They'll be in much better hands with a regular player. As to your other characters, if you wish to send me the account names, I'll keep them alive for you -- it would just add a few seconds to my monthly "visit b-net" routine. I'm pretty anal about it, so your characters would most likely be safe.

Let us all know when you get back, and if you get the odd chance, keep in touch.

May your posting be all you wished for, Occhi. smile

Your cheerful and irreverant self will be sorely missed, though.

I have just under two weeks.

I may be able to stay in touch now and again, there is a lot of web about these days, in some of the strangest corners of the world . . .

PM will come to you tomorrow.

Hi,

whatever it is you will do for the next six months, I hope you will enjoy it and that your family will be with you. And if there is no internet, let there at least be coffee!

I have no idea where you're going, but I have some general guesses based on comments made here and there through-out the boards.

Hopefully we'll see you back here in 6-7 months when you can allude to even more exciting times and stories that you, of course, can't talk about! ;-)

Good luck, keep your head down, and be careful when drinking the water, eh? smile

(Oh, and in case your new assignment isn't that hazzardous, have fun, eh? Even if it is hazzardous I am sure you'll still have fun but anywho...)

First off, stay away from canned milk. Follow your own advice.

Second, be careful.

Third, come back. These boards just wouldn't be the same. Rubes come in pairs, Rube Won and Rube Too. Don't be a rube and screw that up!

No McHale's Navy stunts!

Good luck.

Occhi, I must admit to having conflicting emotions upon reading your news:

First, I'm happy for you that you're going to get your wish and get out from behind that desk! I hope you get all the flight time you could want.

Second, I am and will be darned concerned for you until you get back! I'll be thinking of you often, so get on the net as much as you can and post here, even if it's just a one-liner to let us know you're okay.

Third, I'm really going to miss your presence in-game. Selfish of me, I know, but true nonetheless. The jokes and give-and-take are what make our team games so much fun, and you're a major contributor to that.

Finally, I echo Sirian's comment that I'm glad we've got folks like you out defending our interests - thanks for all you military folks do for us!

Best wishes,
Hawkmoon
