Wow, this'll be a good experience for me, first Diety game and all. I hope I'll do alright, but I'll be surprised if I make it into the positives. I'll get started on it right away ^_^

Wow, what an epic 12ish looking start that is
.... Maybe that's the kind of challenge I need to get me interested in civ again.... maybe.

Yeah, another Epic at last !! :D And, uh oh, this one looks like a hard one... Where is my Nile ? I think it should be best for the competition to have the most players, since score will determine the winners. I'll start asking some people to come here.
If I am understanding right, the -1pt for every turn 50-turn after the fastest victory is cruel.
![]() So if you cannot guarantee that you win withint 75 turns of the best player, you'd better hang on as long as possible and lose.

There's 110 points available out there for eliminating AI rivals. Losing intentionally is not something I figure we have to worry about from Epics players. Regulars know better, and any new arrivals who lose intentionally in an attempt to exploit perceived flaws in the scoring will not find it yielding them any esteem from the locals. Fortune favors the bold.
Yes. I've not been playing civ as much recently (heck, I'm only in 4 SGs now), and I have a couple of RPGs to finish, but I'll try to play this.
Quote:Originally posted by Sirian@Sep 17 2004, 02:40 AMJust before I started to play, I tried to quickly make a list of priorities to get a maximum of points. But because you can get points in almost every area of the game, and because the game will surely be very difficult, I then said to myself "If I can win this, that will be a victory for me." Yeah, nothing can be better than victory. So my goal is to get the 25 points fom victory, and all the rest will be bonus, though those 30 points from no pillaging/capturing/razing are very tempting... -_- |
