Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

Not that it matters a lot for me now, but is the bonus for no captured, razed or pillaged city include no flipped city as well ?

Game completed BTW.

The intent of the bonus was aimed at a steady military performance, no overreaching, no inattention, no getting caught off guard. City flipping is a different issue and will not be factored in the bonus.

I've been trying to play honorably so far (and even avoided the suicide ships, I remembered they were dastardly!wink, but took a break, and was re-reading the tactics section, and found this clause.

In the Evaluation of Tactics section, one of the provisions listed under Dastardly warfare is:
"Failing to exit a civ's territory after agreeing to leave is Dastardly."

Does this apply to exploring warriors/curraghs as well? By the letter, it seems it does, but since it's under the warfare section, with the discussion regarding ROPs etc, I wasn't sure. In particular, if I'm exploring, move a couple turns into his territory, and am asked to leave, must I back out the same direction, or can I try to exit his territory by continuing on to the other side (assuming I can get to the far side).

Thanks!

Answer: You can exit in any direction you like, but you must "advance directly to jail, do not pass Go, do not collect $200." The only thing you should be doing at that point is moving directly to an exit of your choice, and obviously, this requires some common sense. Think also of baseball, where runners are required to run within the base lines or a reasonable facsimile thereof. No running into the outfield or to the pitcher's mound to avoid a tag! Get out, get out reasonably quickly.

Thanks, makes sense. So far, then, it sounds like I've done the right thing, I'll point it out one exception in my report. smile (Of course, I'm far from done, so there's no guarantee I'll still be Honorable by the end, but I'm trying...) wink
