Last turn I whipped the Great Lighthouse in my second city. Two pop whip, after two chops. Will it be worth my time: I don't know. Well, two of my three cities aren't coastal, so it looks bad right now (it'll get better, especially since those two are the only non-coastal cities I'll settle). I'll whip my 4th city next turn.

No love for Miss Wormwood or Principle Spittle? Or Uncle Max?
... I guess Waterson did write Uncle Max out of the strip because he didn't work out. Also the whole inability to refer to Calvin's parents by name made things awkward.

Of course they'll get some love. But I can't settle cities so fast, you got to wait a bit.
Yes, I remember this justification for why uncle Max never returned. It is a pretty good one, if you think about it. I find the fact that Calvin's parents don't have names to be very fitting with the whole scenario of the story.

The new QotM seem to imply that I'm making my opponents mad.
What will they do if I finish the Oracle?

Great Lighthouse:
My fourth city:
It's already running at a profit, due to TGLh. I was 18 gold surplus at 100% gold before and 19 gold surplus after.
Finally, at the end of last turn, i finished the Oracle, by working two hammer tiles, instead of the corn (worth it to take a turn off the build, in my opinion). I'll likely grap Metal Casting with it, to enable forges + pobably the colossus.
Well, I have a lot of wonders, but my demographics sucks, so I won't show them to you. Right now, I desperately need granaries and cottages (workers too!). My opening was probably too focused on wonders to give me a sizeable advantage and I'm way behind in development compared to my opponents. Besides, my micro hasn't been really planned, it's only gut. Anyway, let's see what happens next...

I want to try to guess rego's naming scheme, but he is warring me to scout my lands. I think I could have killed his scout if I wanted to, but it didn't seem necessary. Let him scout away (first to circumnavigation will be huge, but I don't mind too much, since it'll need water exploration, I think).

Bah, Pindicator razed my 4th city with a warrior on a galley. Stupid me, leaving a stupid warrior fortified at my stupid inland capital instead of garrissoning my stupid coastal city.
Stupid, stupid, stupid...
