T26 played.
Here is a more detailed overview of my status.
The land around my core and to the NW.
Aachen will pop it's 4th ring in 12 turns, allowing my to mine that gold way up in the north for additional happiness.
It will also allow a trade route connection with my 2nd city, should the religion not spread there earlier. The complete river will be within my cultural borders, which is enough for trade routes, even without Sailing. 2 more gold per turn!
The valley to the west holding copper is a dead end. I will probably review my 3rd city placement to grab that copper.
There is not a lot of food resources around, so improving those two wine tiles I have, is a priority.
My scouting warrior in the north died after popping a barb from a hut. So, it will be a while until I have someone else up there again.
Here is the SE:
My scout is in the southern east corner. i just met Ghandi's scout there and a greenish border south of that cow tile. Mehmed.
If I could grab that pig resource, that would be nice. Maybe this a quick third city?
Here is Aachen:
What I did not know before (because I never played an imperialistic civ) is that 50% bonus for settler production only applies to the hammers used not the extra food used. grrrr.
That's why I work the two forest/plain/hills and not the floodplains!
I have met Saladin (athlete), Mehmed (Dreylin) & Ghandi (Ruff). Out of those three, Ghandi and Saladin have not met.
So my first guess is:
Saladin to my south, Mehmed to my south east, Ghandi to my south far east and Pericles ... to my north east? Could this be some sort of rotated inland sea map?
