The German War

Brain typo. I'd meant to say we have to plan on starting out in the first half of the turn tumer, and then possibly request a move to the second half (after three or more turns of war).
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width

The germans are generally among the last to end turn. I'm sure KJN meant we have no chance of getting the *second* half of the timer. Thus we'll have to give the Germans a double move if we want to request a swap.

Just one more thing to coordinate with WPC about.

Stupid question, but can't we just wait till after the Germans end their turn before declaring war? Or is that considered against the spirit of the game?

The germans are no longer guaranteed to end the turn last. Recently it has been cfc that's last to move or the mayans. We could get the second half if we tried.

We can wait, but it will be much harder, since we have no guarantee they will end their turn in a timely manner, or at all.

I said this before: if we want the second half of the timer, tell Plako. If the Germans end super late, request a pause. It is perfectly within our rights in the ruleset to get the second half of the timer.

I would save that for the absolute last resort, I don't want CFC to spin this against us and stall the game.

Yeah, lets not make this more complex than needed. Grab the first half when we declare, and then maybe ask for the second half in 3t if we absolutely want the second half. We need to talk with WPC with that anyway.

Do note that we will need to end our turn before the Germans on T149 too, per the rules.

To go to more concrete stuff, the Germans settled their new city of Wombatshausen, and it throws a wrinkle in our plans to the west. I'm fairly sure it's located 3N1W of Wolfratshausen (the tile was forested when the turn started, and it claims the correct number of tiles), so we must raze that one as well before we can resettle Neue Wolfratshausen.
