Final decision pending on food, however, the choices as I see them:
Charles de Gaulle (Ind, Cha)of England (Fishing, Mining)
Louis XIV (Cre, Ind)of Persia (Agriculture, Hunting)
Suryavarman (Exp, Cre)of Germany (Hunting, Mining)
Notes:
Sury
If we take EXP, there is currently no way I can see to get the extra hammer.
Can tech either Agri or AH to get food hooked quickly and the mining will be useful shortly.
Expand fast using the gold to afford it.
De Gaulle
Not a huge number of forests to chop (for Stonehenge?)
Fishing looks to be redundant for awhile. Likely Agriculture first. If we have only AH food, it will be frustrating.
Stonehenge fast, grow capital to max size and work a million cottages everywhere.
Louis
Louis could grab a cheap AH first so is definitely fine for food.
Otherwise, would head straight to BW.
Build pyramids.
I feel like Suryavaraman is the right choice. It's just dull. In this company, i'm not sure I can afford to take anything than the most optimal though. If we take Sury, we swap 2 happiness everywhere and cheaper wonders for cheaper workers and granaries. However, we also get a quicker start by not investing in Stonehenge.
