[SPOILERS] Quick, think of a cool thread name, I'm too busy working on my sunburn

Howdy, I'm enjoying your thread.

One question - from the look your screenshots you're actually drawing on the in-game map. Is that the case? If so, I didn't know that was possible...what's the secret?

Sorry for not getting back to you before now. I'm playing this game at very irregular hours and not looking at my thread as often.

Yes I'm drawing using the in-game function, if you zoom out to the globe view (you'll see clouds scudding past), and click on the far right button, IIRC it's a square with gaps between the corners, you'll get options to put down a marker (like Alt+S in the normal view), draw line, delete line and delete all lines. It's nowhere near as good as the BUG dot-mapping feature but it does ok.

Edit: I'll give a proper update tomorrow. The other reason why I'm not updating is that there isn't much going on.

Ok apologies again for the lack of turn reports. I knew going into the game that my reporting would be less than stellar (*wink, wink*), but that I could handle playing no problem. This was mainly due to the variableness of access to the internet while not doing something different (i.e. searching for work).

But anyway I'll give a state of the world at turn 58.

First off my cities. Ye all know Eta Carinae and Crab Nebula:

Eta is matured until I get more happy (hopefully by founding AV) and Crab will be matured in four turns. Both of these cities will be settler pumps for the forseeable future. I'm at 90% on breakeven at the moment with access to markets (3gpt and merchants). And of course I keep forgetting to swap out the Artist in Eta, d'oh is me.

Now I've had two cities since then,
Barnard's Loop:

Well the main purpose of Barnard's Loop is the Gems. 1W would have gotten copper into the BFC but I didn't see that before planting. The granary build is a hold-over from founding. Early on I wanted growth and this was the only semi-useful build that didn't use food. When I've BW, the town will produce some PZ's mainly to have some around in case a crisitunity happens.

Double Helix:
I'll post a website link for this one, as it's pretty amazing.
After the market I'll go worker here just to get the city up and running. With all the farms this'll be a pretty stonking Aristo commerce centre (I'm not really going to cottage to much), and with the mil civics the food will convert to PZ hammers.

All in all a good four cities. I'll look to double the number over the next twenty or so turns, and by then we should have at least our first victim met.

Tech wise I've:
Ag>Calendar>Crafting>Mining>Exploration>AH>Festivals, and I'm finishing BW. As I said at the game start I'm going for AV after this to get the AC up and some sweet, sweet religion going. My warplans have stalled, mainly due to not finding anyone to kill, yet.
I've a warrior scouting way out west, he's traversing some jungly lakelands. Hopefully he'll find a patsy.

And the current situation.

Land:

Nice land to REX into, so that'll keep me going for a few turns yet.

Demogs & Score:

Not a bad situation to be in. But I am worried about the Hippus. They are racing away at the moment. Hopefully I meet them as I've built up a deterrent.

Nothing happened, literally.

Well, Crab produced a warrior, and Mahala Tholal took a score jump, 149 to 164. Wish I could read score jumps.

OK seeing as my computor is FUBAR, I'd better write up something here for whomsoever is attempting to take over.

First of all my save password is Blinds (capital B).

Second, I've met Tholal in game, and no-one else.

Third I'm 1 turn from Philo, and then onto the tech for Ashen Veil.

Eta Carinae and Crab are settler worker pumps at the moment, they are hitting up against the happy limit, and there's lots of land to colonise, and I do mean lots.

Barnard's Loop is troop central for the moment, due mainly to it having nothing useful to build. Double Helix is also beginning to come on screen for military builds, as it's running out of useful stuff.

I've three new cities which I've forgotten to rename, and they'll be building infra for a while until they are up. All have at least one food resource and multiple resources period.

My plan was simple get to PZs (check) and Priests of AV (not yet), while getting as much military civis on line as possible (not really started yet, get religion first), and bathe the world in blood and flames, damn the AC counter.

If anyone is interested I'm more than happy to give the word. Unfortunately my internet will be spotty for at least a while so whoever takes over will probably want to plan their own strategy.

T'dr'duzk b'hazg t't!
