Gavagai is trapped in Hindu hell. Spoilers thread.

Crap, Mackoti decided to rush me right when I'm, frankly, completely unfocused due to RL. Was worried about this possibility, could have noticed and taken measures earlier... Now it will be most likely another PB16 with me in the role of Retep. frown

This is how the situation looks like. Arthatamisra is doomed I'll be reduced to irrelevance after that...

What I should have done is switch research to Archery right after I saw this axe on his power graph and be ready to chop an archer in Andhatamisra in case of a trouble. Nothing difficult o taxing, really, just an idiotic mistake on my part due to inattentiveness...

Btw, I DID have thought along the lines "rushes are not in Mackoti style, so you are justified not to bother". That's how my PB16 self is laughing upon my PB20 self.

Little did you know that he was already playing you in the metagame in the PB16 tech thread... That's how good he is: he has already won games that you and I don't even know we're playing in yet.

Well, actually, this is a surprising move on his part. It should be understood that he is able to make gains from this rush only due to a really poor play on my part. Never good idea to rely on something like that, especially in a game which has Seven.

This is hopeless anyway as Mackoti is ridiculously good. He has four cities by T51 and his power is actually higher than mine.

He killed everything with chariots.

Don't really know what I was supposed to do here. In the long run the fact that I lost this city didn't even matter, he had a huge advantage in early production anyway. Think of it: by T52 he has four cities, four chariots, two axes, all of them already on the battlefield. Keep in mind that one of those axes had been build at about T30.
(Also, before you say anything - no, I couldn't bring a spear with my stack. I could reasonably expect two axes at the very least and three axes are not enough to kill two axes on the hill. I could only gamble that he had no time to connect Horses or decided not to build chariots in numbers.)
