With recent events indicating that the game will continue for some time and not end anytime soon due to a spaceship launch, I have to face the fact that I'm no longer enjoying playing the turns, which have been taking me over 2 hours and feeling like a chore since November.

Personally I feel perfectly satisfied conceding the game, despite the outcome being in doubt in my estimation. I've accomplished more than I wanted to in this game already. I can alternatively look for a sub if people prefer.

Seven, I know turns are time-consumming at this point. I dont mind extending the timer, even to 72h, if needed. I just believe this game is in such an interesting point, it would be a pity to call it right now. I'm saying that more from the lurker perspective, because obviously I'm non-factor here. The point is do you still believe you can win it and can you find the interest again, considering the pace to be less a burden.

I'm with haram...it's very uncommon to see a game where there really is not a clear winner at this point. I'm even more of a non-issue than haram, but I'd love to see what happens.

With that being said, I know it gets tedious with large empires to complete a turn, so yeah, if a longer timer would help we can do that, or if you're really not into it, then call it. It does seem sad to give up when you have a fair shot at winning, though.

It's not an issue of time for me anymore. It was last month, but I kept playing mainly because, like you say, the game situation is exceptionally interesting for this era. However, at this point, when I think about what I want to be doing with my time, the answer is "anything but manage a 50+ city civ". Somewhere around the 50 city mark, the game just got too big for my civ brain to handle in the way it normally handles things, and soldiering through has resulted in burnout.

As I said, I can look for a sub. At this point, would there be any objections to a spoiled one?
