Well, the point isn't really whether he was truly offline or not. The point is that you accused him of pushing a claimed cop, which was false, since he didn't post anything after Q made his claim.

I'm not getting a good vibe from Bob here. And I don't really understand how TT can keep listing him as a town lean.

You make a good point.

The reason I list bob as town is because this is the bob I'm used to. He never seems to like me and is quite questionably blunt.

Its not really based on much evidence other than a gut feel right now. I don't like his case on me, and I'm pissed off that he still casts doubt on me not being around when he could easily look at the timestamps of my posts and realise that the gap is my night-time (GMT).

AdrienIer, I wouldn't say that dtay "pressured Lewwyn pretty hard". He voted for him early on but moved on as soon as Lewwyn had posted something. In context, that looks like natural play to me and not really suspicious in itself. Just thought I should note the inaccuracy.

Your analysis of Bob's first post looks spot on.

Also a good post by Gazglum.

So... you did put it back, right?

I don't think he is cleared, but he's not in my top suspects list. He's been posting better today, and now we know that Lewwyn and Novice were scum, that makes him more plausibly a fall-guy for them. More data needed before I'd want to pull the trigger there.

I don't see this case on Bob (mostly going by Adiren's last post). I think it's based on too many assumptions, like that he'd try to get cover for Lewwyn and Novice. I doubt he would do that, wolves don't like clumping together early: Novice and Lewwyn didn't comment much on each other, for example, if I remember correctly.

His Mason hypothesis on Lew makes a bit of sense, because Lew discarded IC. Mason works pretty similar to IC in this setup, but you get two people confirmed, not just 1. And I don't see what in bob's first post points to suggest a scan on Lewwyn, that's a catch-22 argument: if you suspect Lew, you are a wolf wanting for a scan; if you say he's likely town, you are also a wolf... So, by this logic, everyone mentioning Lewwyn yesterday is a wolf.

The argument about keeping Novice alive for a day due to his power role is also pretty frail (regarding bob's second post). The only reason there's a mafia governor on this setup is to not auto-confirm a governor as town, because it's an action that involves the GM. Same thing with day vig. Mafia governor, on a player that already claimed cop, would only be useful on a crazy situation in the decisive lynch, which, frankly, no mafia would hope to see happening at that point.

Finally, why would mafia bob vote for TT, one of the few people actually defending him? Doesn't make sense.

I think that's a mislynch forming.

To simplify the case: Bob made that awkward first post an hour or two *after* Novice had claimed cop. He then spent his next couple of posts slowly backing off Novice, as he realized that nobody actually wanted to lynch a claimed cop at that stage. He was just very out of tune with the town.

He then spent most of the rest of the day being fiercely protective of all power roles, and advising against a mass claim. Which is odd, considering he straight-up wanted to lynch the first cop that claimed.

I'm not really feeling the dtay case. Yes, it is easier for a new scum to focus on the types of things where they can make a logical, reasonable argument without having to fabricate things. It's also easier for new players in general to focus on analyzing anything concrete rather than try to read more deeply into things. Plus, several people have pointed out that his posting is very much like his civ reporting.

@Ichabod. There's a lot of meta-fluff in Bob's posts. Isn't that scummy, in your mind?

I'm not sure what this is implying Rowain. Guessing it's from an older game that I haven't read. ANyone care to enlighten me?

Imo Jabbz has looked substantially better today in his play, and the way the voting worked out yesterday also makes him look better.

I agree with Ichabod, here.

Like, I get the way the first post is bad with the reaction to the reveal of the roles and Lewwyn statements (as well as the potentially buddying on me, though that feels in-character), but then Adrien's second post just feels like a stretch and a half, trying to twist things against him to the extreme. I mean, novice was always going to claim cop, in retrospect, and I would be surprised if it wasn't mentioned pre-game.

Also agree with Gazglum about Jabbz. Though there's certainly an element of me not wanting to break-down that 2000 word defense after my computer crapped out the open postid... rolleye
