I'm trying to do my best Novice impression, I'm not advocating a Dtay lynch.

Dang, wish I would have seen that. scumhunt: activate, indeed

Are you complimenting Gazglum on his scumhunting prowess here, or chiding yourself for failing to activate?

Rereading it now, it looks like an odd retreat.

Chiding myself for failing to see the trap and blundering through it. Another reminder I'm not where I was before I took my WW break.

Catching up on the evening (for me) posts but I'm off to work soon.

Matt, your post 80 look like disingenuous readings of what zak was Saying. I didn't read him as advocating for no reveal; he was trying to say that scum would feel better without a reveal so we should reveal.

But what you wrote on 81

eh, without the subsequent switch off it comes across as more noting the trend than disagreeing with it. The vote does twist the context somewhat, though.
He is correct about not actually stating a dislike of the wagon. Still, the confrontational way in which he does so seems a bit... off.

Reads to me as "defend, defend, but wait still suspicious" .

Its weird youo know how when you get home and you feel great all the way home, but when you get home its like, oh the room IS spinning, but you didn't notice before? Its gotta be that sense of home and familiarity that grounds you to the point you realize you aren't Major tom.

Wait whos the "defend defend still suspicious? Matt? SO matt's defending Jabbz, but also still suspicious. So what you think Matt is scummy and Jabbz is scummy with him?

Try not putting words in my mouth Agnes. My observation was that I had to determine whether or not I was going to stay on you. This was something that had to be determined because, as I said before, my vote on you was about making a point, and I hadn't changed off of you yet because there was no one else scummy at that point, due to pretty limited content. Once I realized you had 3 more people on you, I had to go back and read exactly what led to those decisions, something I had simply skimmed over before due to being a little busy.

Expressing surprise in a "Holy Hell" sounds very much like you're disliking the wagon, or at least being uncertain with the company you're keeping. That it was followed with a (apparent) reconsideration of whether or not to stay on only furthers that - you're distancing yourself from the wagon that had built up steam. I'll admit to agreeing with novice that it was a overreaction - I got 4 votes this early in '35, and was lynched several days later for an entirely different matter - but to me it sounds like you know I'm village, and are already trying to back away from a mislynch. It sounds exactly the sort of post one makes shortly before jumping off, or the sort one uses to distance oneself from a wagon forming.

The question is, why do you as a townie have anything effected by their actions? If you were voting me to make a point, then kudos, go vote someone else if and when they come up, or don't. It doesn't matter. But why are you suddenly considering jumping away just because there's a large number of votes on me? The only logical conclusion is that you'd have preferred it (or been more comfortable sticking with me) if there had been less people voting me. So why are you scared of being part of a wagon? Why are you preferring to be on someone with less votes?

That's what seems scummy.

Quote:Also, I never said, or even implied that my vote was why people were on you. Again, stop putting words in my mouth. Try sticking to the facts, they will get you further, and make you look less scummy in the process.

Oh please don't start this again. There's no benefit to attacking your accusers without base, it never helps with anything.

Your emphasis on your own vote (you are the one point making vote) makes it pretty clear you believed there was a connection there. Now, you've said you hadn't read the material, so I understand if that was just what leaped out at you and you've since reconsidered, but it comes through pretty clearly here.

I think the problem here is that you are focusing on the wrong issue. Anytime someone picks up three votes in a short period of time, any town should be wondering why. When I said I needed to decide if I was staying on you, it was because I hadn't intended to be there, but if three people found you suspicious, I should at least re-read their arguments and see if there was any merit. If anyone else picked up three votes, that same speculation would occur, but if I wasn't already on them, obviously that part wouldn't apply.

As to the rest, yeah, I was a bit grumpy last night. I've got a damned cold so I'm freaking miserable, and I took it out on you guys a bit. Sorry to you and to Lewwyn I think, for that.

Of course it wasn't a setup, but it was an attempt to gauge you a bit.

Honestly, I'm not sure where I stand on you right now because some of your defense actually reads pretty villagery (more in character with last game). I still think your OMGUS vote on me was weird and bad though. But I'm willing to consider other options.

Yeah it really kind of was an OMGUS vote. Like I said in my last post, I'm sick, and last night I was tired, and likely shouldn't have been posting. Since there is a good chance I'll be missing deadline today due to class, I wanted to make sure I was as up to date as possible. Almost caught up with thread now, then I'll find a vote that is actually worth making :/

My alignment is clear to anyone familiar with Destiny's Child and or Gloria Gaynor so at least you can try to claim I am not a mislynch when I flip nonwolf.

Care to reveal any details beyond your alignment?

Sounds like you should vote Goreripper now and sleep through the deadline.
