I played for Barteq and he's a pretty sizeable empire. I think if you want me to try play optimally, actually keep an eye on the defenses etc., then I would just have the time for that civ. If I just have to keep it on semi-reasonable builds then I could probably play for DZ too. I'll check out the English empire tomorrow.

I am still here and will play tonight. I necro'd my spoiler thread FWIW. Sorry for my part in all this.
So if DZ is here and BGN is waiting on REM to play (who presumably has a long war turn in the making), that just leaves dtay and plako, both of whom have been heard from during the last turn. I'd advocate pausing for them--I know we don't want turns to last forever, but I don't want to leave people behind who have been playing the whole time.

Ah, I just noticed I was skipped last turn.
 Shame on me for losing sight of this I guess (after days and days with no activity from anyone), but I will be waiting until tomorrow to check in and see if I still want to play this. It was a pretty lousy time for this to happen, but I am not about to ask for a reload now that everyone appears to be re-engaged.
I am no longer waiting Borche's civ on a turn split. Initially I wanted clarification before possibly making double moves. This turn I didn't want to play back to back without confirmation that the game would be proceeding. I can also be available to move another civ along if needed.
DZ, I'm sorry your turn was missed but I posted at ~30h that I would not be pausing after playing, noting which civs had not yet played. I'm not sure what else could have been done.

I agree with assessment I largely have no chance to win (some outside thing where a bunch of REM/TaoTao cities get razed I guess, pretty hard to tell the story where it happens though). I have no problem with continuing to play. My preference is probably for it to not get called simply b/c I think calling games is lame / conclusions are nice (and this is a pretty good game overall to let die). Playing current turn tonight.

Again, I don't want to be too pushy, but I want to make sure this game is moving at a reasonable pace (roughly two turns per week at least if possible). REM paused it two days ago, probably trying to find a time to play his war turn, but what about everyone else? I don't have an idea of turn splits--I don't think dtay, TBS, or DZ are waiting on REM?
