A quiet turnset, but there are some building diplomatic concerns. By the end of my turnset everybody has denounced us, so we probably should spend a little bit of time building some military. Science jumped from 200bpt at the beginning of the set to 285 by the end. We still can do more to build campuses and get that going higher.
200 EOT: - Need to grow the capital somehow... The Neighborhood we built there seems pretty worthless now, as the city is at 10/19 housing. - Common Market, Liquidity Trap, Columbian Exchange, Hanseatic League, Laissez-Faire Forever, Barcelona: needs housing - Hanseatic League: needs improved tiles Hudson's Bay has the only spot in our empire that we can realistically build a National Park. Literally the only place in our entire empire. ![]() IT - Spain denounces us 201 The 4th Entertainment District gives us the Eureka for Professional Sports Trader is up at Common Market; with that city maxed on housing I move the trader to British Petra-Oileum Madrid: Entertainment Complex -> Commercial Hub East India: Neighborhood -> Market I buy a Research Lab at Madrid for 1,700g and get the Eureka for Nuclear Program Spend another 1,700 for a lab at British Petra-Oilium Spend 800g on a builder at East India Add an Envoy at Hattusa to give us +2 science at every Campus 202 CIVIC completes: Conservation done, decide on Suffrage next. It is due in 8, and we need to build 4 Sewars for it's Eureka. But I think the extra policy slots and Democracy's boost to projects are worth it. Spend 1600 Faith on a Naturalist at Hudson's Bay Start Campus at Silk Road I need to remove the tile improvement at Hudson's Bay before I can build the National Park. I knew this but for some reason it didn't register that I should get a builder here to actually do it. So we spend another 800g now to buy a builder. TECH: Switch research to Replaceable Parts, due in 1, while we wait for the National Park Eureka. The food bonus to farms for completing Replaceable Parts will help too. 203 Forget to take notes ![]() 203 IT Norway and China both denounce us 204 TECH: Replaceable Parts -> Electricity (due in 5) The builder takes a full turn to get to the tile rice tile, so we need to put another turn of research into something else. I'd like Steel for the increased production to lumbermills, so starting down that line with Ballistics. But I can also use 5t to open up Power Plants, and that seems a little better. Hudson's Bay starts a Campus Start a Sewer at Common Market to help it's housing situatoin East India Company: finishes Market, starts Bank Hanseatic League: finishes Commercial District, starts Market. It needs a sewer too but not at 23 turns. IT China wants a couple of luxuries for 30gpt. I accept Greece denounces us. That's the entire world. 205 Remove the farm and now the Naturalist can build the National Park... just need to move the builder away now. Tradewinds starts a Sewer 206 Designate National Park at Hudson's Bay ![]() Radio completes with the Eureka bonus. Switch our tech now to Rocketry, due in 6. Great Scientist: James Young is claimed. ![]() He boosts Electricity and Ballistics. This gives us an envoy at La Venta. Silk Road finishes Campus, starts Library 207 Stock Exchanges boost Eureka for Capitalism Silk Road finishes Library, starts University Start Zoo at Madrid. Start Sewer at Nafta Start Campus at Big N Large 208 More stuff gets built which I do not write down ![]() 209 Buy a Research Lab at Market Peak Market Peak starts a stock Exchange 210 Suffrage completes and with it we can now swap to Democracy. I HAVEN'T DONE THIS YET, more on that below. Purchase a research lab at Silk Road. Why buy it when the production is so large? Because Rocketry is done in 2 turns and I want us to start the Spaceport right away. Start Shipyard at Silk Road. Start Bank at Hanseatic League Zaragoza finishes its Commercial Hub, starts a Market Great Person: Nikola Tesla claimed. ![]() Not sure where to put him, but I think it should be one of the cities we decide to put a Spaceport at (more below). Actually, this makes me think we should put him at Madrid. Next player will also get to claim Adam Smith, which gives us an extra Economic policy. Very nice Great Merchant to have, almost nice enough to spend all our Faith on claiming now. But probably not. Madrid needs to start a new building and I recommend we start Oxford here. I don't set it myself yet, but I think this is the best city we have for it. I also have not yet changed governments to Democracy: before we do that I think we should spend the remainder of our 2,700g to take advantage of Merchant Republic's 15% discount to purchases. If you don't see anything else pressing then just buy 3 more builders. Set CIVIC to Cold War, due in 10. We need to get to Space Race before it's time to build the Mars Projects. However, I think Class Struggle is also worht a look for Collectivization and Five-Year Plan policies, and it's only a 4-turn diversion. Keep in mind that the Moon Landing is going to be a huge culture boost. As for policies, Suffrage has opened up New Deal and Economic Union. For the next set, I'd start building Projects to take advantage of Democracy's bonus. We still don't have many campuses, but room for more. Science is climbing, up to 285 on the save. My recommendation for the 3 cities to build Spaceports in:

Very nice turns, Pindicator.
Its kind of disappointing the game was split by the patch. It makes it much harder to tell what is the impact of the variant, what is the impact of the patch and what is the impact of our very mediocre land. (Insert random grumbling about diplomacy here.) Nonetheless, we're definitely in the homestretch now.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?
Oh! We also should start transitioning to international trade routes soon. Maybe not next turn set. I don't know when the timing will be best, but we do want to be able to take advantage of eCommerce when we get that policy.
