I lost 6 cataphracts to take the first city. That's a little on the low side of possible losses. Good. Now the second group is in range of the city on Dreylin's frontier.

Thanks to a winning streak at 20-30% odds I took Tony Pulis with only 2 losses. GE's capital is barely defended, so it will probably fall next turn.

It did, with 2 losses again. Next turn the southeastern city should fall.

After getting some relatively good luck in the conquest of the first three cities I just ran into some bad luck. No win in 7 25-30% battles, 2 flawless losses. I only managed to kill 2 dudes (the others are at 10HP).

In international news apparently Pickle is on the road to lib rifling 

While Dreylin still doesn't have feudalism   Oh well he did have pikes and cats, so my phracts wouldn't have been able to do much.

I have now lost 23 cataphracts to take 5 cities (which is strange because it says I built 46 and still have 26 ???). Next up is the gold city, and then the city on Dreylin's border. Then I can backfill into the 2 cities by the coast.

Did you upgrade any units to cataphracts? If so, those are counted as their original builds.

Actually Peter Taylor is barely defended so I'll be starting with that one.

I'm also starting to build catapults to minimize phract losses.

Peter Taylor is conquered. I started a stupid premature attack on the gold city, that (thanks to bad rolls, but not only) I ended after 5 phract losses and no wins.
