Still no sign of a monastery or temple in State of Zijin, which is of course a good thing. If he got a Great Spy, he must have been running a pair of scientists in that city too. When you say you don't want to give him or dtay Open Borders though ... GermanJoey now has an invisible, unkillable unit that can enter our borders and scout around without any need for OB. Eventually he'll burn it for a Golden Age, but in the meantime ... well, I'm glad we didn't opt for a near-term attack plan that relied on secrecy. That said: Is OB even an option with GJ or dtay? (I agree we shouldn't offer it either way...)
Also, I suddenly noticed that Radnashiri doesn't have Buddhism. We should change that when we can of course; until we do, it won't benefit from OR, so if it's going to be a while then I was wrong to suggest changing its build from a library.
For similar reasons, building a Market in Toregene definitely makes sense, especially since our +100% means that OR would represent a comparatively small bonus. (And if Judaism lands in Toregene, Buddhism will never spread there naturally, and it might be a long time before we send a missionary.)
If Judaism landed in Radnashiri, that would be hilarious. Not in a good way though, unfortunately.

I`d much rather have Judaism in Toregene as it`s safe back line for us. Let`s hope we avoid some weird rng here. Actually, we have a few cities that could be the Holy city. Stone island wouldn`t be too bad, I think. One of the exposed island cities on the western sea.. not so much.
The reason why I`m reluctant to give open borders to any of our neighbors is more because of the wonders they`ve built. We don`t want them to repair the economy right away. The unkillable sentry spy is a potential problem for us, perhaps we need to shuffle our units around a bit in order to make it a bit harder for him to know where they are.
As expected, Krill accepted the map swap. Here`s a few screenshots of newly revealed territory. China`s up to 4 cities. The bad news is that the border with Greece is very unstable. China`s city is on flatland so I think Joey will attack soon. It doesn`t look like Krill has paid any attention at all to his northern border region for some reason. He should at the very least give Joey a good fight over China`s capital.

Heh - true. Although as I've mentioned above, I'm not sure even Toregene is a "safe, back-lines city." I'm not sure that kind of city exists on this map. ... Except for the capitals of a couple of the players who benefited from events like Krill's move and China's collapse. (If we can eventually raze State of Zijin, then okay, Toregene can be called a back-lines city after that.)

Colossus doesn't care about Open Borders though; dtay just wants water tiles. He's now essentially Agg/Pro/Fin until he techs Astronomy (with the exception of off-river cottages/luxuries of course). Obviously GJ is a different story.

Excellent!

Krill is playing a fascinating game. His northern border region doesn't concern him because in his mind that's basically his deep back lines. China's just (as Blake once put it about the AI) the farmland caretaker for land he's eventually going to acquire. My guess is he plans to expand peacefully in non-Chinese directions as long as he can, land the Music artist, swarm China with units, and then artist-bomb his preferred front-line city with GJ. Knowing this is one reason GermanJoey is not likely to want to attack us soon: He can't really afford to be in the middle of a northern hot war when his forces are needed in the South to claim a share of China's carcass, and he doesn't know yet when Krill is going to attack. Similarly of course, Krill will need to strike north quickly to claim his share if GJ is moving south. It's an interesting situation down there....
No new turn just yet as Yuri is still to play. I guess that calling Toregene safe back line is an exaggeration. Joey could hit it quickly so we have to bear that in mind. The thing is that if we lose Toregene at some point we`re not going to win this game. I think only Borte and Muqa are more important to us. Thinking about the ideal location for the second Holy city is kind of a luxury problem. Losing a size 1 island Holy city would probably not be the end of the world for us.
Krill seems to put a lot of emphasis on expanding as hard as he can and then rebuild his economy. Also, he likes to play around with combat artists. Something to look out for if we were to be neighbors sometime!
Judaism landed in... Toregene! That`s good news for us. We could build a Jewish missionary once the market is done. Muqa could need a new religion as well as Oghul Qaimish and Nambui.
Gavagai got a Great Scientist. The Hanging Gardens is still up for grabs! Revolting to Organized Religion cost us a bit, we`re now losing close to 150 gpt at full science. Maybe we should go for Code of Laws and whip out a few Courthouses. Anyway, I set research to Horseback Riding for now. We can easily finish it in 2 turns at max science.
I didn`t whip the settler in Chubei as it costs us 3 population points and let Nambui continue its Library build. Oghul Qaimish whipped out a galley and Bulugan whipped out an axe. Getting a few random units out "just to be safe" will add more flexibility. We have quite a lot of overflow as the chop came in this turn. The settler visible SW of Bulugan will board the galley next turn. I`m not sure where to send it, need to think it over.
Sugabala now has an iron mine to work and will get fish next turn (the work boat is in range). It`s going to be a very good city once it gets some basic infrastructure.
Graphs and demos: Dtay`s gnp is improving a bit - not really a big surprise as the Colossus helps him out. Our power has basically caught us with dtay.
One thing I forgot to mention: For some reason Dark Savant didn`t build any cities last turn. Why would he let his settlers stand idle on the islands? Has he got a broken economy? I would think that building the cities would outweigh the negatives easily...
