Okay so we had Headshot 4, Creep 3, and now Rope 2. When pointing for Creep I said "Consensus seems to be Eye for the next Headshot guess" so if we're interpreting the 2 clue correctly and Bob didn't overlook me saying that, that's a mark against Eye.
I feel good about Model and Hollywood for Headshot, and I feel good about Bug and Grass for Creep. Grass expands creep style (think Zerg creep) and also creepy creatures live in it. So I assume we have two Headshot and one Creep words left in any case, and that Eye is waived off for Headshot. For Rope pre-spoilers I go Whip and Well. Post-spoilers I'm partially persuaded by the Wall connections to the other words and so will bow to the consensus there. I'm also officially flagging that our alternative word here is Well and the next Headshot word is NOT Eye based on my interpretation of the 2-clue and the note I previously made. Appa-what?
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow.
In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."-Old Harry. PB48.

Well, an Apaloosa is a horse breed, and I think it has spots so ... oh wait
. (This game does seem to have taken a while, so no foul). So, assuming that clue re-pointed us at a Dragon word and a Stain word, we need one more Stain word? Unfortunately, as far as I can see, that leaves us with two options - IRON and CELL. I favour the latter, partly because I'm pretty sure that the whole business of staining things like cells to put under microscopes has come up in codenames before ... Fake EDIT after checking spoilers. Had forgotten about PANTS. We've had four Waltz words, two Dragon, four Stain, two Apaloosa, in that order. Assuming none of the words Blue hit for us fall outside these categories, I'm still confused. Putting ones we didn't guess at the time in parentheses ... Waltz - LEAD, GRACE, (TEACHER, BERLIN)? Dragon - WORM, (UNICORN) Stain - (WALL, SPOT, <X>, <Y>) Apaloosa - UNICORN, SPOT So, <X> is our unknown word yet to guess, but <Y> must be one of TEACHER, UNICORN, BERLIN? Am I missing something? Entirely possible, as I haven't had my coffee yet .And that whole chunk of analysis doesn't actually help decide the Stain word. Looking back over the posts, EG and SD favoured it, I felt it was OK but no stronger than other words, JR4 didn't really express an opinion. I guess that does add up to give Comm the impression it is our next +1. So yeah, I'm happy to guess PANTS (although at a personal level I feel CELL is a better fit for the clue).
It may have looked easy, but that is because it was done correctly - Brian Moore
