Byzantium is gone. Which do you plan to pick first, leader or civ?

I think leader, BK looks pretty powerful and we can swap around almost any civ to go with him. Although i do still favor the slower opening of Arabia so that we can do something.... different. Although having several mysticism civs grabbed already makes me a bit squeamish about grabbing one as well.

Tier... Tier... his only game so far was... pb49? Right? I dont think he did too awful there but he certainly didnt follow meta beliefs in what would be considered a bad-move. ( culture bomb vs Commodore? )

I rank him mid tier here thus far. Maybe low mid tier?



2. Mjmd


Ah, someone who might have a grudge vs me.. Really hope not. As the worst case scenario would be starting between him and Ruff..

I believe he will be come a solid Mr.Cairo tier player in time. Although his early axe rush planning makes me think he has a bit more aggression than Cairo.
Upper middle tier.


3. Naufragar

Makes big plans. Doesnt usually have the empire to pull them off. Maybe he will go for a huge land grab early on so that he can put his planning to the test?

I believe id rank myself higher than him, but not by much. So, Middle tier.


4. superdeath

Horrible player, holds IN-Game grudges. Will overthink things and overestimates his current army/demos with where he should be. Long term planning is decent for someone that doesnt micro. Fairly decent at waging war which helps because he magically ends up in grueling wars every game.

Bottom tier trash.


5. Amicalola

Got killed by War Chariots. Dont know much about him.

Seems to get the worst luck. Cant really put him anywhere on the tier scale due to what i see as just really bad luck..


6. Ruff-Hi

#1 target for absolutely no reason other than because he doesnt love me. 0/10 would rush.

Seems to have a really good grasp of the game, but sucks donkey at people skills.. Hopefully he has learned not to call out who his neighbors are this game..
Upper middle tier.

7. Vanrober

With Giraflorens, got ran over by Pindicator. Seems to be rather new at the game, or a really lacking multiplayer/harder difficulty experience. MUST WATCH OUT FOR RUSHES. Bottom tier, both want to, and dont want to start next to.
8. El Grillo

Pretty good player. Need more data to form a decent opinion of, but if Plemo wasnt in the driver seat of pb51... and we had someone that was ACTUALLY green in that position, i believe that he would have won.

Solid upper tier so far.

9. giraflorens

With Vanrober, got ran over by Pindicator. Seems to be rather new at the game, or a really lacking multiplayer/harder difficulty experience. MUST WATCH OUT FOR RUSHES. Bottom tier, both want to, and dont want to start next to.

10. Barbarian

Can survive without cities, and can somehow move/use animals?!? Hacker that lacks late game strength, but can occasionally snipe a city or two off of other players. Bit of a maniac in that he declares war on every player at the start of the game. Dont want to start next to.

Bottom tier except when someone clicks an option in the game settings, he magically gets like no maintenance, gets huge production boosts, and just churns out units all day long. Makes him rather aggressive.

11. MrCairo

What hasnt been said about Cairo? I feel like he is the opposite of me. Which while not entirely true, does hold true when it comes to aggression/war. While I like to declare war when it MIGHT benefit myself ( or is likely ) Mr.Cairo tends to declare war only when he KNOWS for certain that he will gain something immense with the declaration. I feel this is what holds him back as a player, from becoming TBS/Mackoti levels.

Upper tier.

12. scooter

Id rather play vs the guy in Wargroove. Rather easy to beat there. Here? Nah, he has shown a pretty good track record of good performances and id rather he was next to Cairo and Ruff than myself, or the food tier we have this game..

Upper/upperhigh tier.


Not super clean/correct above, but ill maybe make some memes or something to showcase each players pick once we eventually..... ................................................................................. get that done.

Hey, got your PM. We can go for the Organized combo if you want to go that route. Maybe Civ first?

Sumeria has some anti-synergy reducing the benefit from fast courthouses. HRE could be clutch with Byzantine/Mongolia/Khmer already picked.

I still value Financial highly, could consider Fin/Org and Fin/Pro if Org/Pro gets taken.
