Not if you gain an advantage from doing so. I don't know the detailed state, but from your last report you looked about ready to go, so is there a particular reason for not declaring now and taking the second half?

Normally I would have had at least 1 more turn hidden from GKC's sight (on the coast tile next to the dyes). Possibly another turn, but that I'm not sure about, because my stack would end up either 1N or 1NW of New SilverAsh and I'm not sure if he'd have vision on those tiles.

I decided to just stay on the last half then. Sucks for the game pace because GKC always plays last, but I don't want to get into a turn order argument.
Superdeath might be going for his other neighbor next. I think it's Amicalola?
This reminded me to 1-turn build a scout in Croissant just to be extra sure Mjmd doesn't backstab me.
Here's the market gains Emperor will have. Strangely the map has no market resources and full forge resources. Congrats to IND players.

Despite what transpired in 58, I honestly feel your pain about this.

Well, you have a whale available to be hooked up in that very city?

Oh so I do!
And I'm even going for Optics! Well, happiness isn't an issue anymore. Just unusual to not see those resources around.
EDIT: Maybe I shouldn't have said that just before walking into WW hell. Is WW on?

I think you should be able to tell from the settings screen? IIRC, it's off.
Balancing luxuries is one of the harder things, and I'll be happy to discuss it after the game.

Argh forgot to check. Next turn then.
The war drums have been sound!
He has 5 triremes. We got 9 so he needs at least more than that to have a shot at our galleys.
He may try to block our way, but we have great odds to clean them up.
The secondary attack didn't go as well. That's an ocean tile so we can't enter it. I hate it.
Anyway I positioned to block a 1-turn praet drop.

You can enter the tile south of it though?

I wanted to kill the galley Although maybe I should have sent our galley to that tile you mention.
It's no biggie though, I'm intentionally not focusing on the islands yet. Once main land is done there's nothing he can do.

GKC chose to block our way. We attacked the smaller stack.
We managed to smash through, losing 2 triremes to kill 3 triremes and a galley.
We also spawned a GG at this point. Not sure how I'm using it yet. I moved it from Mostima to Emperor.
Anyway it was time to attack and the odds were good:
Theocracy was key to get those CR2 promos.
We killed 10 praets and only lost 1 berserker. It was a CR1 one that I accidentally attacked with.
Three berserkers were moved in to guard the city, just in case enemies are in the southern fog.
I upgraded these axes to berserkers to help with guard duties. If I was still trying to win, I would not use gold on this. Upgrades set you back in tech.
We might have to advance by land. As you might have noticed in the pics, there are a lot of enemy triremes around. Must have been whipping them in every city.
We'll see what kind of a wall we're facing next turn and decide then.
Oh btw, the galley that I wanted to kill, well it suicided to my triremes. Yay!
Those two also attacked a lone Roman trireme. We killed it but lost one of ours.
Fishing nets pillaged: 2
Galleys killed: 13
Triremes killed: 4
Praets killed: 13
