Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

Plemo declared war on me again, but when i logged in (he sent via PM) no extra units threatening.. no peace treaty/other crap sent, and even his galley he had staged in an annoying spot has moved back more or less 1 tile. Still, moved most of my army besides some stragglers that are to cover other areas. Plemo swapped into Non-slavery civics... so if Tarkeel would get his head out of his ass, this would be damn near the perfect time to jump him.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

If plemo waits to roll the turn, i consider it very poor sport. He logs in several times a turn most of the time. (life events can happen i get it) During war turns being first is considered bad enough usually the only thing it has going for it is its supposed to be the one getting to see units built by the otherside. Going 2nd gives you Whip advantage. However, if you roll the turn you get the best of both worlds.

Not saying Plemo WILL do this, but i want to state it here for future. Especially during crucial war turns.

" Plemo [Image: buddy_offline.png]

Wife is at work, I have the kids and we are invited over later. Can I have an extension of 10 hours? "

I guess the kids went to bed or the wife got home early? He's playing now (and probably will end turn) Good thing he needed that extension to see what i built :D

Of course he is last to play again.

After logging in several times. (short times this time around to be fair..)

Maybe im just a different type of civ player. I like to mostly go with the flow. Spreadsheets and WB testing has got to be among my most hated things. It does not sound like fun to win because you decided to turn each turn into a college exam. To each their own, but to me it feels better to win because you made better decisions rather than "numbers tell be do this, brrrrrrrrrrr"

Rant over for now. Still had probably the worst neighbor luck out of everyone here. Maybe not the worst Starting position (Greenline maybe?), but worst neighbor luck BY FAR. Had i started next to GT or bing, or closer to Greenline, or hell anyone other than my cluster of fun. If i somehow bulldozed thru Piccadilly while plemo was destroying tarkeel, id be right next to Gavagai who just absolutely despises me for some slight i did alot of PB's ago. Hell, Commodore has (i think) forgiven me for my first pb where i sniped a... settler? worker? with a wandering warrior that i had scouting far away..

Alright, actual rant done.

Love yal' Ill be over here in my corner waiting to get smashed by plemo with his zerkers, and im sure Engineering so he will have pikes. Yay. Tried to get to him b4 he hit zerkers, but he got to them literally the turn b4 i was able to get into position. Tarkeel/civac apparently dont want to try and take plemo down, while i have a SOLID chunk of his military on this side. Been sending them messages, no reply's, i dont see their power increasing much, and they arent really situated to dive in once the fireworks start. Unless im missing something... im going to lose a decent chunk or most of my stack and heavily damage Plemos (i hope) while he heals up tarkeel/civac will be thinking they can catch up in tech, or get his island cities or some other brilliant plan.

Either way, going to do my usual and be a major pain in the ass. Yippie.

But that means an extra 12 hours because the kids have a handball tournament all morning tomorrow.
So if I can't make it, can someone please extend the timer.

Many turns of prep. Constant panic over alot of troop movement, and finally.

Ignore the previous shit fights (vs the archer) Been setting up the road east of Bandit lords. Roaded and sat there with a stack of workers and HA's. 3 HA to take down 2 spear behind 50% walls.. i dont think thats too bad. Goals of this is to sow confusion/make him have to whip (cant remember if he is in slavery or not) or at least upgrade/move units.. which will open up my main stack or smaller southern stack an opportunity to do some damage. Between what im doing and Tarkeel, i would HOPE we can grind Plemo to a decent end.

What im currently rocking. Obviously i dont have vision on Plemo's forces, but im ahead of him last i check on the power graph. (or VERY close)

What he currently has visible with a sentry HA. Missing some Elephants from the last time i saw. No clue where they went. Probably back a tile somewhere, or closer to the southern city. Guess ill see in 2t or so.

Any questions?
