[spoilers] Commodore is strategic in Pitboss 74

I can't take more Plemo Speed Turnpace, and Pindicator just gave him a reprieve:

GG Gavagai.

I'll see next turn if Pindicator offered a quick peace with a snipe, or if Plemo's thrown enough units to let me kill him in a reasonable timeframe (and assuming Pin still eats that northern island city of his I guess). Otherwise, I think I need to seek a replacement, I cannot endure Plemo's highly effective "revenge by eternal extension".

Since 5/16 Plemo has played 4 turns, which even with him missing today is still 4/6. Which considering he is at war with someone in his same time slot isn't bad. Its still better than the German forum default turn timer. When you started a 19 player game I imagine you knew it wouldn't be a turn a day.

That being said if you feel Plemos play is too slow going forward can I recommend that you see if someone would be willing to sub for him vs getting one for you. I think that would keep the integrity of the game intact and give it a chance to finish.

At this point, it seems deliberately punitive. Why would he seek a sub when the point is the pain?

I'd have preferred to play after Tarkac, lost several units due to not having them move first, but I'm always going to play ASAP to attempt to make Plemo's excuse for spiteful extensions as convoluted as possible.

In the end these things always come down to belief in good faith on the part of the other party, and I don't believe Plemo's delays are good faith. He has accounted for a good 95% of the pauses/extensions this entire game, and I cannot abide more of this. I'm going to request a sub, I'll keep playing the turns OF COURSE until someone comes to free us.

Hey, friend, would you be interested in buying a BRAND SPANKING NEW empire, all for a low low price of SCOT FREE? Let me kick the tires and show this baby off.

Don't you worry about a little bit of drama, that's all been my frustration with PYFT issues and Plemo realizing there's no easier way to hurt me than delay. Last turn was a little crazy, so if you hop on in you're getting front row seat to all kinds of interesting stuff:

Pitboss 74 never disappoints for chaos. Check out this lovely mess of a diplomatic map:

Yessiree Bob, you got interest aplenty. Tarkac are on the way out, they smacked a few wounded units on their retreat, but your super-fleet, as you can see, is more than sufficient to ensure the safety of your conquests.

Don't think you'll be BORED driving this empire though, no sir, you have a Viking fleet on the littorals, sheltering as best they can from your slightly higher frigate counts. They're not able to attack with confidence, but be careful dear buyer, they can outrun you.

Like this one, The Annoying Bugger. It's loaded with berzerkers and almost impossible to catch, but you're well covered from any random attack. Don't sweat it, this little situation just adds a little character to the drive.

There are only nine Viking cities left, so you can definitely beat them, although that last island fortress will be a shucky-darn anger to the old noodle, it'd allow Mr. Plemo to just delay and DELAY until being wiped out. He won't hate you like me though, might even play a prompt turn for once if it's you in the driver's seat.

You have a chance of run a HUGE empire, friend. Once-in-a-lifetime chance, really. CHECK this baby out:

Don't get me wrong, you're in empire #2 here. Kremlin, coupled with drydocks in almost every single coastal city, will give you and chance, and you're on equal footing in the race to Combustion (he's up Railroad, you're up Scientific Method), but Gavagai is still top dog in the game. Fun challenge to be had, friend.

And HEEEEEY, you even have Moai now. Imagine having an empire 200 turns into the game without Moai, that'd be ridiculous.

So, how's it look? You're safe*, secure, and if you can stand interminable delays you could probably even win if you turn on Tarkac.

Small issue might be forming, probably it's nothing...

Maybe I should accept. That way between this game and Ginger in PB77 I'm likely to get one turn per day, on average. And really, that's what it's all about.

This comment is fundamentally unserious. No offer is being made to or solicited from the viewing audience.

I know you won't throw yourself once again onto the wheel of pain; you've just gotten free.

Deliberately but fairly crashing the plane is easy and fun. Piloting the fighter jets is hard.

Well, the game is over, so no more difficulty. Gavagai just PM'd me that he's DoW'd me, and since I'm suck up in Vikingland he's getting all my coasts for free.

That's GG.
