Ahhhh I missed the 3 charges part. Yes, 180g + 3 tiles is pretty decent
I don't know the civic tree by heart, so hard to tell, but I remember Feudalism in the 90s being pretty common for my games once I learned to prioritise early culture - no difference between base game and BBG there. If anything, I'm slow here, because I didn't prioritise monuments in the second wave cities - as a result, my culture rate has fallen behind both Pindicator and Archduke. And as it turns out, I researched Drama & Poetry for no reason

Actually if that GM has 3 charges, I may want to pass on the trade route one, and let Pindicator have it. Another trade route is nice, and I do need a road towards the eastern part of the empire, but right now I wouldn't have room in the queues for another trader. Whereas there are some good tiles I couldn't afford to buy, but would like to get - starting with the iron in Bogota's 3rd ring which tile picker refuses to pick. And 180g would be helpful for getting that trader once I do unlock the next trade route
Going to think on it

Went ahead and passed on the GM. As I said, I won't be able to build an extra trader to benefit from the additional trade route. At the same time there are a number of tiles I would like to acquire. Obviously there are resources, such as cocoa, which is I only have in the third ring, and tile picker hasn't been interested in it so far
But also, if I do want to make an attempt at Coliseum, I need to acquire more choppable tiles (forest and stone). Plus the actual tile where I want to place the wonder (although it can go on the stone tile instead of the marked one, that would work as well)
And, of course, 180g is something I very much can use
Thank you for pointing out the three charges, I glossed over the icon in the description
There's some danger with this play, Pindicator might also pass and let Archduke have this GM, in which case Pindicator will get the tiles / gold one due to turn order. But Archduke's great merchant points are slow for now, we're probably not far off the era ending - so that would be risky for him as well. We'll see what he decides
War on Hattusa declared, killed their archer (got 2 era score from that thanks to support from comandante general), they also spawned a warrior which I damaged for half health

Pindicator did claim the great merchant, so I will get the gold / tiles one
Hattusa spawned walls - guess city states function differently from normal players and can buy walls?

I noted a few days ago that Hattusa was building walls from your screenshot. Check out the shot of the city on turn 75, back on the 27th.

Hattusa was building walls from your sceenshot. I am not expert enough to see if it was advanced enough to be finished with normal production (but they do look like quite complete in the picture

Ah I see, yeah I was wondering why it had wall-like thing around it but no walls, didn't realise they're visible when only partially completed (but it makes sense!)
Btw, I cannot see images uploaded to Imgur until/unless they resolve their issues with UK government
