A quick one over:

Canada, why this one is a bad idea is very easy. No dows on CS.

England, loyalty based Great Work mechanic, next.

France, mediocre, possible outlyer.

Greece(Pericles), been there, done that. Gorgo is better.

Khmer, a decent boomer civ.

Mapuche, quite an awesome civ. But culture has become less of an issue. Still to consider.

Mongolia, awesome warmonger civ. Still too early, maybe next time. Repetitia non placet.

Spain, mediocre civ.

Nothing springs out at the moment.

I think this will be a tossup between Khmer and Mapuche with France and Spain being fancy picks for a challenge.

There currently is an open question regarding starting screenshots for the pick procedure, I am interested to see your opinion on this.

I do not want to go religious once again, I think Khmer may be out. I am warming towards France. It is a flat +3 CS bonus to units overall, but there is no real economic upside. Spain´s economic upside is mediocre as well. Hmm.

Are you open to thrawn's suggestion about rerolling the CIVs, to then decide based on Screenshots?
He suggests that each player can pick one CIV of their current selection and will then get the others rerolled.
