New CIV VI Pbem

I doubt we will start up CIV VII MPs so soon. Any interest?

Rules would be the standard MJW rules.

As I said in the other thread, I will be interested in a green-friendly game in a few weeks. Need one of my current games to finish first, and remember how to play Civ6 (haven't played it since release)

Only thing I would change is allowing you to pillage a City-state tile once instead of zero times. I went with zero because I was afraid people would lose track of tiles if they failed-to-capture. But that has only happened once with in all the games here and it happened to a poor player. So that's not a real concern.

Gives too much stuff:
-Venetian Arsenal
-Religious Settlements Pantheon
-Work Ethic
-Nan Madol
-You can only pillage a city-state hex once; expect farms and fishing boats.
-Resource hiding ban. We would need more complex rules for a team game, but it is obviously intentional here.
-Giant's Causeway

Other:
-Tactical DoWs, especially regarding Australia.
-DoF blockades OKAY
-Scouts providing naval support OKAY
-Not accepting/rejecting DoF at once.

Game Setup:
-City-gifting must be approved by the wise council of lurkers.
-The player who proposed the DoF cannot declare war on the first turn after the DoF expires, unless the player who accepted the DoF is ahead of them in turn order.
-Ban mods. Desyncs are likely if people aren't using the same version. Everyone using a better UI mod would be an option here too.

I would be open to a 6th player, but we could go ahead with the planning. Greenline was tentative, but I am hopeful it works for him.

I would aim for a start in the middle of November and not a mapmaker but a mapbalancer (roll for random map and then fix glaring issues) for a natural feel, but no craziness.

Would you guys go for a draft (3 leaders and take 1) or prefer all open choice? I would like to go for a draft.

I'm happy with anything - as I said, I haven't touched Civ6 in a very long time, and while I intend to read up on some of the more recent games to understand how it's played nowadays, I have no knowledge to discuss the settings and whatnot
