Could the Classic Diablo IM community review the "typical" amount of gold allowed for IM teams continuing on from Normal to Nightmare Difficulty in Multiplayer? According to the present rules:
"If gold was not collected, use a 'typical value' of 64K (total for party) for purchases." This at:
http://realmsbeyond.net/diablo/vironman.html
In my IM experience this amount seems a tad low. For example, WildViking once sent me this information in an email:
"anyway, I chased Wildmage through a full clear last night and he collected 70565 gold.
the numbers after each lvl:
lvl1 -- 497
lvl2 -- 1512
lvl3 -- 3770
lvl4 -- 6190
lvl5 -- 8347
lvl6 -- 10913
lvl7 -- 14686
lvl8 -- 18681
lvl9 -- 21732
lvl10 -- 26009
lvl11 -- 30109
lvl12 -- 35534
lvl13 -- 42965
lvl14 -- 51056
lvl15 -- 61154
lvl16 -- 70565 (all dead but Diablo)"
Adding to this data, I add my own Normal cash run:
lvl16 -- 80132 (all dead but Diablo)
This cash run was done under the 'game past the year 2039' clockfreeze, so anyone can double-check the amount by simply setting their computer's clock to a date later than the year 2039 and then bring in a character to complete the cash run. (How do you know your clockfreeze has worked? Well, thereâs a Glimmering Shrine on One, the Butcher drops his opposite while Leo drops his nemesis. If those things happen, you've got the 2039+ frozen game.)
Anyone else willing to do a Normal "cash run"? Record your results on this thread, and perhaps after a specific number of repeats (10? 20? 100?) if we averaged the totals, I think that weâd have a slightly different number than the 64K the present rules suggest. Even if the average only comes out 3K - 6K or so higher, think of the book you might purchase with that amount! (If it comes out lower, eh, so be it.)
Any takers?
