First off, thank you for providing an excellent community for this timeless gem. I've been reading the contents of the forum for a couple weeks, and decided to register. Thanks also for the enjoyable atmosphere that seems to be present here. I've been following many game forums over the last few years, and the general impression is that people lose their inhibitions and show off all their bad manners when they have a screen and a few continents between themselves and other members. Quite the opposite here, you are impeccably polite at all times. I'm yet another thinks-he-knows-it-all, but already I've picked up precious information here. I'm looking forward to further explore the glory that is MOO with all of you.

Let me be one of the first to welcome you and say hello!

While I'm not new to Realms Beyond, I am new to Master of Orion (excepting a brief stint with the thoroughly unplayable MOO3). With Civ3 pretty thoroughly covered by now and Civ4 at least a year away, I'm going to see what I can do with this game. Still in total n00b status at the moment, but hopefully learning as I go.

Been a while since I installed a game and was asked if I wanted to include mouse support. And I feel way too proud of myself for remember how to carry out basic commands in DOS.

Just came by to say hi. It's generally pretty quiet around here except for times when events start and the week or so after the event finishes. Otherwise, this area is relatively quiet. We are looking to start another Imperium shortly (if I read Sirian's post correctly) so hope you join in on the fun!
