Ursan DoA = easy mode

So, yeah, apparently, if you have the Ursan Blessing from the Norns, you can easily rip through DoA using Ursan Strike to mop the floor with the enhanced margonites. Kinda cheesy, but could be fun to try at least once for those of us too lazy/uninterested in going through DoA the "normal" way.

Anyone interested in giving it a try?

Me, me! Wait a minute, that means that I'll have to take my dervish to EotN...or get some other characters DoA capable...dammit, you'd better not wait on me! wink

I've been running Ursan Blessing a lot lately. It's like the Achilles... Brutally effective and then you run up against some Mesmer with a couple of basic energy draining skills on the bar and your blessing gets yanked off in a great hurry. lol

Ursan Blessing builds are weird. It's kinda like jamming three distinct sets of skills onto the bar. The Ursan Blessing set activated by the one elite skill, the long duration carry over stuff that can be activated before donning the aspect of the bear (Signet of Strength, Drunken Master etc) and lastly, the collection of utilities and no/low-energy fillers like adrenaline attacks and a rez.

DoA? Hmm, ok. Having played Ursan Blessing at Norn Rank 7 I'm actually a bit sceptical that "you can easily rip through DoA using Ursan Strike to mop the floor with the enhanced margonites," but I'd be interested in giving it a look. I do know that I've been able to put in one of my better performances HeroHenching Shadow Nexus with it...

The power of the skill is when you have a team of players with it, not just yourself and some heroes/henches. With 4+ people using Ursan Strike on the same target, that target tends to die rather quickly. That's what makes the skill rip through-able.

I can see that happening. nod

Norn 7, Lightbringer 4, nets a single hit strike of ~150 damage every third attack on a Margonite, plus there are a couple of unskilled spear throws in between and the potential to let off Ursan Rage in a tight bunch for more mayhem.

Well, my dervish now has Ursan Blessing. thumbsup

Shall we try this sometime soon?

I'd be interested in reading your comments about how that skill plays on the Dervish. eek Warriors and Paragons are a great match for Ursan Blessing, but I'm having trouble wrapping my head around how an Ursan Blessing Dervish would work.

Doesn't really make much of a difference which char you bring it on. I've seen screens of monks bringing it along, so I'm a little unsure why you think character class matters.

Try it on a Monk. Then try it on a Paragon. wink

...Or you could just explain your reasoning.
