Since I have the good fortune of knowing you all now, I would like to bid you welcome to some massive cat loving in here. Come one, come all!

I have met all civs at this time. It is a wonderful occasion. But alas the last civ I met was one whose motives I fear are not the peaceful ones I'm sure we all desire.
ceiliazul about five hours before this post Wrote:Cull of the Super Empire, My response Wrote:For what? You decide mounting an aggressive move trying to secure an advantage on someone you just met. Don't be silly. Also, why would I follow the words of someone who has proven to be willing to take advantage of a peaceful neighbor? Man up, and if its a war you desire we will war, with the greater empire prevailing. But if you want to play hostage, to think to play hooky and to play advantage of those you appear and act weak, look elsewhere. I just mean to inform everyone of all of what I know of the Ottobot Empire, and the limited, tense diplo we had. Cull Wrote:I have met all civs at this time. It is a wonderful occasion. Good luck with this war, this "greatest of dances."
First visit into the Cottage, and you've already got them scrapping Catwalk
![]() Have you no law and order in this place :neenernee
Not to detract from all the tense "war" and stuff, but I noticed something fishy in the tech thread.
Catwalk, how on Earth do you balance all this? I have experienced both school (past) and marriage (present) and I can't imagine doing both at once. You go boy/man! Pegasus Wrote:First visit into the Cottage, and you've already got them scrapping CatwalkCatnip usually has a calming effect, I guess on certain unruly kittens it can cause a bit too much playfulness. Looks like Ceil and Cull took the massive cat loving a little too literally. Bad kitties! Ceiliazul Wrote:Not to detract from all the tense "war" and stuff, but I noticed something fishy in the tech thread.Fortunately, school is currently a breeze as I've studied some of it before and I only started on this course 2 months ago. And I'm fortunate to have two really good jobs while I'm studying, I'm a church singer (2 services on sundays) and a funeral singer (4-5 funerals during the week). They pay really well for the time spent, so we're able to live on that. It's a small rock we're living on, but it's there. The wife part is indeed challenging, still working on that one. I've found out that it costs roughly 2.5x more for women to exist than for men. Ceiliazul Wrote:so true! why have there been no scientific studies?? Dunno about scientific studies, but there is a tax deduction, so there you are. In other news, catnip is calming? It usually makes our cat high as a kite and a tiny, drugged foot pouncer. Cull and Ceiliazul are merely roughhousing, might as well join 'em in the fun.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.
If we don't hear anything back from Cull today, I think we have to move on without him.
The war situation: Cull has 8 warriors left from his initial 17, with my 2 shock axes whittling them down. They are all huddled in his capital while my axes cover the distance from 'Baylife', his razed 2nd city. I have a chariot on the hill near the capital to catch any wandering warriors. I have killed 9 of his warriors already, and my promoted axes are having surprising success (96% odds) even on hilltop cultured cities. If we retire Cull, I would like to see someone just delete the warriors and let me take the city. That is the conclusion we were grinding toward, but I guess Cull didn't want to hold out the last 10 turns. This is a huge loss to me, because by not killing those warriors I'm giving up a Great General. I'm willing to take that loss to get the game moving. Sincerely, Ceiliazul
If we don't hear from him today I think we should try to find a temp player who's willing to suffer some swift abuse for a little while. If the campaign against him will be over soon, it might be possible to find a benevolent soul.
I really want to get the game going again, the recent delays risk breaking everybody's spirits. I assume Cull got busy with life, and since he's just waiting to be razed I can't blame him for losing interest. |
