given that pbem 29g is starting to look it its in the endgame, I'm hoping that anyone would join up for a new PBEM
something i've considered for a while is that there is to big a gap between veterans and greens, so it would be nice if it was possible to create a game only with players that (like me) feels that they're to strong for greens, but still feeling redshirts/spectators when the Veterans duke it out forced to play to keep from ending last (or to pile on the favorite to keep them from winning) rather than having a chance of winning themselves
haven't really got any preferences so all balls so to speak is in the air

There's a difference here - are you looking for a game with more of a reduced pace, or one with players of intermediate skill?

I think he means that he is more skilled than "Green" but when he plays with vets he'd come in last place. Therefore, he's looking for other similiarly mid-tier players to have a game with.

I'm interested. Yes, I won one game, but every time I look back at it I see some massive gaps and poor choices. That and I haven't been playing as much as I used to.

i'm hard pressed seeing how you could understand it as looking for a game moving at a reduced pace Rego.
I'm looking for others that happens to be in the 'not-quite-acknowlegdeed' mid-tier there is around here, between Veterans (such as you Rego) and Greens

That's hard to classify, for one thing. Obviously, Rego is top-tier, and obviously, say, Automated Teller is a green (meaning no offense AT, you came to mind because you're a good updater green), but who is mid-tier? Slowcheeta? Dazedroyalty? Myself? Yuri? There's a whole long list between the top twenty and brand-spanking-new.

I get what you're going for, but I think a lot of your target audience may not know how to classify themselves. For example, I would probably breeze through a greens game and get blown out of a game that included the Seven/novice/mackoti clan. So I guess I'd be intermediate? But I've also played in nearly a half dozen games by now so I'm certainly not inexperienced either so that makes me question if I'm part of that intermediate range you seem to be hunting for. I think a lot of people are probably like me and looking at your post and wondering if they are in that range or not.

That's what I took it from, but I concede I may have mis-interpreted.

with the possibility to sound blunt (1am aren't helping any), its not that hard what i'm asking for ... its if you can answer yes on the following to questions, both excepting fairly equal cercumstances inbetween the players (balancing, traits and civs)
1. would you easily be able to win in an average green group
2. are you having massive problems hanging on in an average Veteran group

No worries, commodore. I'm playing in a green game, after all
