Serious, how have none of the players made a "42" joke?

Okay, here's the map. Nothing too special, just a lot of lushness and roughness.

Please take a look at things to ensure I didn't screw the mirroring somewhere.

Looks like in the desert wrap the right place to settle is on the stone. That city is probably going to burn smile. And with only 2 sources of stone (correct?) that could be fun to watch a settling race over.

Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon

No one's settling on top of that stone unless they'd missed out on the grassland stone. No food.

Also, shouldn't the stone be mirrored, it's closer by 1 tile to whoever's SE of the stone, but that 1 tile is enough to give them a settling/cultural advantage.

I look forward to the fights for each stone location.

Just like to say thanks for an awesome map! Spent all of last night playing AW on it.

Just a little problem with the revealed tiles, but Im sure you would've picked that up before sending it on.

Sigh. Without Agg, Zulu != rush civ, just a solid civ civ.

It seems really strange that nobody took AGG for this game.

and pairing Elizabeth with India in this variant is just like, wut?

I can't even begin to understand the picks in this game...

Catwalk has Pacal of India fall into his lap, and then takes Elizabeth instead? No one takes Inca or Rome on a tiny map Always War setup? Hannibal and Ramesses over Pacal and Suryavarman? huh

People always overcomplicate these decisions. While the settings do matter, it's usually best to take the overall top tier options, rather than trying to overthink the situation. And I see way too many people counting on elaborate wonder / Great Person paths in their threads. My top priorities in a game like this would be 1) not dying early and 2) getting a fast growth curve up and running. I wouldn't spend the early turns building wonders.... but we shall see.
