[Spoilers] Meiz Polishes his game

Powitanie!

No, I won't be reporting in Polish. But I will be playing as Casimir III of Poland. They are quite straightforward civ, good for any type of victory. Their unique ability basically means free Oracle wonder every time they advance to the next era. That's a lot of free Oracles rolleye

Winged hussar replaces lancers. Higher strenght, although a bit more expensive to build. On top of that, they knock back enemies every time they do more damange than they receive.

Ducal stable gives xp to mounted units and gold from pastures, on top of the standard stable improvements.

I don't have any specific victory type in mind, but I doubt culture victory will come in play. That doesn't mean I will be ignoring tourism, since you always want to generate Great artists, musicians and writers on BNW, for the extra culture and to battle against ideology unhappiness. Best case scenario, I get to cause unhappiness for my rivals, if the game goes that long. Diplomatic victory might be tricky with Austria in play, since they can buy off your city state allies.

In any case, growth and science are everything, so that's where I'm aiming for. That includes staying away from early wars, if possible.

My start is not too overwhelming.

Mainly due to lack of food. I could have moved SE to get the other wheat in range, but that would have lost me a lot of production. Instead I'm going to hope there is something behind the northern hills smile

Opening with standard scout & Pottery. Granary will be much needed, and I'll definitely aim for pantheon. I'll probably skip building the monument and just get it from the Tradition policy tree.

I'm just wandering; for what reason would a kangaroo have to hope?

Seeing as all the cool kids are posting typos I'd better join in

Why not?

No kangaroos sighted yet. We did find wine, so there's already 3 different luxuries nearby. Also got a sight of my first ancient ruins, unfortunately still couple of turns away. I'll post pictures when things progress a bit more smile
