Adventure 3 - Pling's report

I only found the Realms Beyond after it was too late to get into Adventures 1 & 2 so this was the first one I tried - sucked in by the Byzantine scoring system

The executive summary:

This was my second or third Prince game & I've not won one yet. So my goal was to survive & be a Tsar. Towards the end I began to think I could've won if I'd been a bit less timid at the start, ah well. I lost to Asoka who launched a Spaceship in 1992.

Score: 195 or 205 (pending decision on Organised Religon, my revolt to it wasn't documented :mad: )

Good Game

I think you can generally grab Hinduism (as a non-Spir. Civ) even up to Monarch if you have a tile with gold to work (something on a river or with a resource like silks) and do not build a worker while researching Myst/Poly since your city won't grow. Good call on using the prophet for Xtianity.

I use The Gimp, mainly because it's free (both as in beer and as in speech) and it's already installed on my linux install without me having to do anything

I wasn't going to do Adventure 4 ( Monarch!! ), but I enjoyed writing up this one, so I decided I would. Played for a couple of hours this evening ... and I think I've got time to both play and write up before the end of next Tuesday Should be a little easier than this one as I don't have to have quite so many screenshots documenting things like religion spread
