Hi guys, it's me again. As you may have guessed, I (we) have been throwing the idea around of getting some new blood into the guild and also re-vitalising the members that are already here. As a first step towards that, I made up a quick survey to see where peoples' interests lie. If you can fill this out and get it back to me either via reply or PM by next Friday (May 8), I would really appreciate it.

5. PvE goals: Most are going to be with my Warrior - gain as many titles as I possibly can and wouldn't mind company to go cap Feast of Corruption, Monk - complete all the bonuses

I'm in EST (GMT-5).
I play GW about 5-15 hrs per week, when I'm playing GW. I sometimes stop playing for weeks at a time, however.
I don't plan to increase that time over the next few months.
I would be willing in principle to commit. In practice, between 7 Samurai & Nudists, I am currently pretty much full up as far as scheduled time goes. (I can't schedule too much stuff or the wife will get cranky.)
Currently I regularily play on Tues nights, and often find time other weeknights and weekends (except Monday) but not always on any particular day.

Roles: I'll try anything, though I won't claim to be expert at it. I've done some healing, some tanking, and some interrupting, but my usual role in a group is as a generic damage source.
PvP Interest: not really.
Skills and Items: For some builds, sure. I don't have every possible skill unlocked though.
PvE Goals: Other than explore as much of the new content as possible with a variety of character classes and try out some new builds? Nothing specific, though I would be interested if plans for more team variants start to surface.

Newsletter: I generally prefer to visit the boards rather than receive email.
Involving other players: Sure, insofar as it doesn't interfere too much with my own PvE goals. If I have a character that's reasonably close in level, great.
Direction: Variants and especially team variants are my thing.
Mission leader: For PvP, not so much. For PvE, if I know the mission/area in question well enough, sure. However, because I tend to play less and often skip unessential missions in favour of traversing explorable areas, others tend to be more familiar with missions and so forth than I. I typically will defer to others if there is another experienced leader-type present.
AAR: Occasionally, yes, but I don't tend to be very detailed in terms of note-taking, and while I can write pretty well, it's not something I do for fun, except in a role-playing sense.

- Pinpoint frontline damage spike. I'm mentally tuned for hit and fade more than tank at all costs.
- Ranged attack. Mostly spell, some archery.

Like Zed, I'm in the Eastern US time zone (GMT-5).
At the moment, I regularly play GW for approximately 3-5 hours per week.
In the relatively near future (i hope), I will be increasing my play time, due to the Diablo 2 Seven Samurai team finishing up (we've just landed in Act 5 Hell). After that winds up, I see myself as devoting all my play time to GW.
I would be willing to commit to a regularly scheduled play time, assuming it fits into my schedule.
Other play times are sometimes (i.e., not always) on Tuesdays noon-1:30 (yay for lunch breaks!), and either Friday or Saturday evenings, approximately 8:30-11:00 Eastern time.

I have played a tank and a monk most extensively, though I am becoming better at a distance-damage source with my Nudist. I would like to familiarize myself with all roles, however.
I am interested in PvP, though my experience with it has been limited to a few Random Arena excursions, which were not particularly satisfying.
In terms of competitiveness, in all honesty, I don't think that I would be able to commit the time that it would take to be really, really good at it. I would fully support efforts by the guild to become so, but I doubt I'd ever be on that team that would hold the HoH. I think that one area where the RB guild could really have some fun would be to try out non-cookie-cutter team builds for PvP or GvG (we'd have to post the results to make this an interesting resource for the larger GW community, but I think it would be neat and worthwhile).
At the moment, I think my skill at playing the game is probably below many of the other guild members, mostly due to the limited time I have to play and refine my playing techniques. I'd like to get better, so I'd be happy to be tutored by other RBers.
PvE goals: get all of my Prophecies characters through the game, and of course FACTIONS! I'd like to devote a fair amount of time to exploring the new content, which will be essential if we want to try to take control of any Factions towns.
Build/Variant suggestions: Again, I think that the more creative members of our guild have already been suggesting non-standard team builds that would be fun to try. After we get a flavor of Factions content, we may get inspired for a PvE team variant. The Nudist team is a challenge without really having an obvious role-playing flavor - maybe once we get familiar with the Factions storyline, we can come up with something more obviously story-inspired (e.g., fledgling assassins tragically deprived of their mentors, trying to avenge their loss by making their way through the world with only the basic skills).

Newsletter: No, I think it's far better to have people visit the forum, or the RBGW website. I'd rather see us devote more effort to updating the RBGW site more frequently.
Take time with other players: sure, but my limited play time means that I won't be able to do much of this.
Guild direction: I wouldn't like to lock the guild as a whole into one particular direction. There's room for all interests; it's just a matter of coordinating schedules of like-minded members.
I could be a mission/team leader for the missions that I'm familiar with, but certainly not for PvP.
I'd be willing to write up after-action reports from time to time. I also need to pick up with writing Arty's Nudist journal, but that's another issue...
Other: I'd like to bring up the RBGW site yet again - it's suffering from serious neglect. If we want to play a bigger role in the larger GW community, a decent website is a must. I'd suggest posting ideas for variants or team builds there as well as on the forums, so that we have an easily accessible database for that stuff, and we don't have to search back through months of forum archives.
Also - Guild Alliances. Several folks have mentioned AB guilds - do we want to make any overtures that way? Any other guilds in particular that we might want to hook up with?

You're grossly overestimating the skill level of the rest of us.

Anyhow, once skill builds are set, its mostly team coordination, tactics and refinement for a learning experience. None of us have that yet. We're all technically noobs.
