WG6- (spoilers ) Superdeath sucks the life outta the party!

Havent updated on this game yet, but we are on like turn.. 4 or 5.. i saved a bit of $ last turn to buy 2 trebs. if OH goes to kill my soldier, i will move both of them into position to fire/crit on him twice if he continues to go for the kill/capture on my property. PLUS i have a mage that i can move into a better position as well. Lets hope he is wary of engaging.

Goal is to lock down at least half of the center, while keeping any advancing army from getting past the mountains on either side.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Well almost caught OH in a trap, but he managed to avoid it, his commander is now well out of range ( pics next time my turn is up ) and i will be planning to steam trebs+dogs and mages to keep the center under firm RED control!

The plan is coming together... hammer

Other than a dragon rush.. i feel VERY confident with this setup. I suspect ALOT of heavy units vs spear spam this game due to income vs production. That makes my Commander one of the better ones here, and im setting up some defensive/offensive trebs to make running giants/ect into me alot harder.

Well shit on a pancake.. Bob was eliminated by Vincent ( CH ). That throws a HUGE wrench in my game plan.. now i have to secure the middle and prevent either side from being able to break me, even with the added resources of Bobs. popcorn

Not to fear though, i have 4 trebs, 3 of which are going south/center to keep CH away from MY center, and the other one is to assure mutual destruction of property if OH decides to attack/burn my town in the north. Im going to be building a strike force of trebs/dogs/mages to attack CH, and a defensive force of trebs/mages/and a ballista to defend against anything OH might send. Im thinking 1-2 more giants, 3 mages, and 1 more dog for the southern attack... and 2 more trebs, 1 ballista, and 2-4 mage/archers for defense. The defense including what will become MY middle. ( i will have giant/ trebs guarding at least 4-5 of the center towns )

It looks grim, but i could use the squabbling that OH/CH SHOULD have over bobs remains as a easy way to make gains in the middle/CH side.

I almost risked having Sigrid attack and kill/maim one of those soldiers, but decided against it as i dont have a wagon or other means of escape if i get trapped. I have enough treb power in the region to make anything but a dragon be utterly destroyed.

Next turn i will be moving a treb to block any access to my towns, and to block CH from one of his. OH has moved in and captured two of his so far, and i intend on pushing him out. He also decided that we cannot be friends in the north by using a ballista on my town up there, it will take another two turns to destroy my town, so im using the current lull to move a mage forward to get vision on his town and destroy it. I wanted to play nice up there... but someone had to shoot first.

Plan is in motion.. Im betting OH has a dog with enough vision to see my mage, so my mage is likely to take a ballista to the face, so that will suck.. but maybe if i pull back he will understand? Probably not.. sigh.

Edit: Yes, I rage-quit, but I seriously don't know what I'm doing wrong--when both players have more value I can see than I have total, it feels hopeless (and last turn didn't help matters in terms of me wanting to play on). It feels bad because I thought I was good at AW (and have certainly played enough of it to be good) but when I feel like I don't have any chance in every game I don't know why I play anymore.

Well with CH's quitting out of the game, i dont like my chances.. I will be pushing thru the middle to try and kill his HQ in one big smack in about.. 3 turns or so. That is my only real hope, as OH has undoubtedly captured a bunch of Bob's area, and will likely meet me in CH's area before i can consolidate. I really thought CH would be in a great position due to his killing of bob, but i guess i was wrong? To answer some of his concerns/gripes.. I saw a TON of swordsmen and i dont think they were all from Valder. With the limited production and high income, you generally want to bring big guns to the field and try and get a unit advantage that way. Swordsmen are great when you have low income/ a TON of production but are very very bad production wise when you are limited on how many rather than price.

I really hope CH doesnt stop playing Wargroove, maybe we can have a 2v2?

2-3 turns till i either win, or throw OH yet another win. lol

I think the plan is, i use 1-2 trebs ( both are critting im curious if it can one shot the gate.. ) next turn and break down the gate. Move everything forward, bait out the ballista shot/troops with my knight in the top area.. and then storm forward with 2 giants, 3 trebs, 1 dragon, 2mages and a dog. Im hoping OH had a BUNCH of units down south and is out of position hammer

Again, I'm sorry I rage-quit, but everything said was accurate--I never understand what I'm doing wrong. I should have had two kills this game (no comment on me leaving you at 1% while wasting a unit that should have killed you?), but even if I did I probably wouldn't have had a chance.
