He won't be able to catch an enemy warrior who shows up on the NW or SE diagonal then. Besides, we're only 12 turns away from our next border pop so I figure I might as well position him in Sandograd.

Any ideas for a worker name? It would have to start with S of course . Maybe some sort of theme..? I'm bad at thinking these kinds of things up though.

Also, I started an Excel sheet where I'll be enterting in the thread view counts each day, and I figured out the right time where I can do it every day at the same time so that the data doesn't get skewed too badly by timezones. I don't know if it'll actually be helpful or not but it won't take much work to maintain it so I'll give it a shot for a few weeks and see what I can do with it and if we can learn anything useful from it.

There's going to be a lot of units eventually so naming each and every one of them will be quite some work if that's what we're going for. I don't mind doing it, however, but then it's up to somebody else to come up with the actual names and/or theme (though the S is clearly a must).

At the very least we could change "Worker" to "sWorker" or "Sworker" or something. I'm not creative/interested in the idea enough to come up with tons of unique names, but I'd be cool with adding an S to the front of all our units (fear our Spraetorians!)

Now you just need to tell me how to change the name of units, as I've honestly never tried it before.

Or just build s-units: Settlers, Spearmen, Swordsmen, SAM Infantry, Spies, Ships-of-the-line, Submarines, Stealth planes... could be doable on low difficulty. You'd need to steal workers, and you'd be stuck on your starting continent.

I expected hinduism to get founded this turn but nope, nothing. If it isn't founded next turn we can be pretty certain it won't be for quite some time still.

Sorry if this has already been answered, but:
What's your build plan after the worker? Do you have an ETA and destination for your first settler? Is it too early to dotmap?

Has the Sandograd river been named? If not may I suggest the Srhine? (Just to give people spelling headaches).
