[SPOILERS] Catherine of China

I'm willing to bet that there's probably some nice stuff up north.

I guess its time to see if we can see into his capital. If anything, the presence of a warrior near to his border would delay his worker and give us a slight economic advantage.

North i.e. middle of the map might be resourceful jungle, if this is natural lakes script map. However I think we want to rush to find our southern neighbours 1st and maybe even get circumnavigation out of it. It might not be that useful in lakes type of map, but it comes with a little cost, when we want to meet also others as soon as possible.

I agree that our warrior should take a look at Warlords capital if he can. However I would go as fast as possible towards east to find his neighbour there giving us possibly a chance to negotiate with him even before Warlord. I think we should move SE-NE-NE unless something else comes up.

Distance between capitals is 15 tiles. Assuming 5 in the north and 5 in the south that would mean that width is 80 tiles. There was ~2400 land tiles so my 1st guess it height is 40-50 tiles.

We're clearly losing the spam battle, even if you tried to slow down Lord Parkin in the IT thread lol.

Maybe I'll then write something about our diplo or actually lack of it. It seems we had to wait for next contact before we can open our 1st embassy. I've been trying to open dialogue with the Family (WarlordDR's nation name) without success. He is either deliberatly or some other reason ignoring us. I'm too impatient I know. Some people just need time, but currently it seems quite likely WarlorDR is here to play civ and not diplo game.

Which is quite convenient for us if we get to at least one, preferably more of his neighbors because we could broker a partition deal out of it. Which I guess would making AH/Wheel -> Chariottttssssss more attractive than the writing branch. Anyway, I guess we'll have to see.

Not sure if Warlord's busy or actually soloing it though.

There's also the possibility of brokering a unit for worker trade with him.

Yeah, if he plays the game without a diplo he ends up in trouble soon enough.

It would be a quite big gamble to try something more than minor annoyance with Chariots. His Axemen are immune to Chariots and he is pretty far after all. Of course having few early Chariots is not bad idea.

Oh yeah, I forgot he was Greece. Still I think we could do some sort of choke since we can probably get to BW before him.

Just need to map out his capitol and the surrounding area. I don't know the optimal way to do that. Maybe we'll just send warrior #3 across the northern route by his capitol.

I'm pretty certain we get there after him. His most probable opening is Mining-BW. I've considered whether we should postpone fishing also now that we've found gold and rice pretty close to Greeces borders, since it is possible we've corresponding city spot in the west. However I think switching now that there is only few turns left, doesn't make sense anymore.

Worker ready and I found out that : is forbidden charachter in civ names so :-( was out. I decided to go for Scout 1st since there is no immediate threat and we can also finish our warrior before reaching size 2.

Good idea I'll use these.

In the game Deer tile looks familiar near WarlordDR. Since we are not gonna see inside his capital and BFC are probably identical, we probably should move SE. NE is also ok although I doub't it causes any headaches for him. He is expansive so I suspect he has his 1st warrior already and can build another fast.
