Cultural Domination in Balance: EitB Succesion Game

Sorry, I founded AV in the Heron Throne city for the extra culture. Apologies. Anyway, it can have a good science output with a lot of plains cottages and 3 commerce (from Harbor) ocean tiles.

AV is not important, doubt we're ever going to build the shrine. If we get a priest/sage we should probably use 'em for golden age along with free merchant at mercantilism instead of AV shrine. The religion crashes with order, I'd rather spread Order for culture and ditch AV and it's hell terrain.

We want one priest for curing disease/wither (we might wanna mutate units) from a non-esus religion

Hall of kings - okay it would suck to lose that in a hard-to-assimilate location. But after that I say mercantilism. All the other stuff will come very quick with caste+lib+merc+republic+UC.

Recent research also indicates that MIMICs can have HN. They attack an animal and steal the promo off them.

It's attached to the bottom of Akatosh's report post, isn't it?

Now I see it.

Good development.

Need to bulldoze a village near Myrean, need to chain-irrigate through that mountain pass. I'd say farms everywhere near a border if it is eligible for one.

In general I'll say pagan temples are very weak, build only after we run out of stuff. At this point I'd even build military stuff before them. Frontline cities should build carnivals and theatres and start running specs, best culture for the investment. We won't flip anything yet, but capturing tiles (improved) for our own use is good. For example Morrte'bio should work an artist, two after the carnival finishes, to capture the grain tile faster and opening up the tile 3E for settlement.

And I'd like to plop down cities SE from Bannor in the ice, and south from Svarts. Drown or decent freaks could serve as cannon fodder.

The more I think about it, the more I agree - Feudalism, then straight to Merc. Then we can come back and play around with religions and such. But Hall of Kings + Caste System + Theater of Dreams makes each Bard worth 10 culture/turn, and Liberty + Mercantilism gives us three free per city and +100% culture on top. 60 culture/turn, free...there's just nothing that can compete with that for raw output.

Plus Akatosh was able to boost our econ to the point where we can get there in reasonable time, especially if we keep growing.

I'm not sure I agree it's worth running bards quite yet - well, it depends on the city. We have a lot of room yet to grow in most cities, though. Mostly onto commerce producing tiles. Which gets us to Mercantilism faster. I'm not sure that all that many +6 cpt will be worth delaying our universal +60. I admit it's a harder decision in places where we can get more good tiles by running culture, like Morr'tebio.

About the pagan temples--I built them mostly because we're spiritual and they are half-off. I didn't prioritize pagan temples over OO temples. Maybe not the best move, pls feel free to pull them off the build queues if you disagree.
