Ha, we will see...

In the meantime, could some lurker help me with this situation?

I played before Cairo for the last few turns that I remember. And when I ended turn last turn, his chariot was 1 east of my Axe and 1 south east of my immortal. At this time, we have a treaty, so he can't declare war. But this turn, our peace treaty expired, so I could declare and attack his chariot with my two units no matter how he moved his chariot (unless he deletes it) ...except he double moved his chariot to where the screenshot showed, so now my axe is out of range of his chariot to attack.

This normally wouldn't be a big deal, except I'm just 1 exp from my great general, and I don't want to attack with just my immortal without the possibility of a second unit cleaning up.

What to do?

That sucks for you, but you def can't double-move him back and declare war. =/

Fortunately, the game reloaded to before Cairo played, so things go as planned:

Why am I being such jerk to Cairo? Because after he pink dotted me early on in the game, I just don't see a world where we will be able to peacefully co-exist if I were to have a chance at winning. The chance to get the GG was simply too temping for me to get, despite the possibility of angering him.

What am I going to do with the GG? I'm not sure yet, I could make a super medic, save it to sprinkle exp, or I could settle it somewhere for the exp (I even get 3 free beakers from Rep).

I would probably hold off on the decision for a bit, if Cairo takes peace, then I will probably settle. If not, I will save and see whether he comes at me with units, in which case, I will probably spread some exp to my troops.

Domestically, I've tweaked some tiles to try and get Currency in 2 turns, which would be really helpful.

Next time you plan on declaring war like this, I suggest waiting until after the other person plays their turn and then PM-ing them to let them know not to double move. Copy the game admin to be safe.

There are other factors than what you can see that are taken into account for a reload request, and they may not always work out in favor of a reload. So best to be as pro-active as you can.

That makes a lot of sense. I have never pm'ed another player regarding turn split before, so I simply wasn't in the habit of doing so. And I've been playing first most turns lately, and wasn't expecting Cairo to suddenly change turn order.

Anyways, I noticed that Cairo teched Alphabet, and have OB with AT who have the Great Lighthouse. I offered Cairo OB, I'm pretty sure he would refuse, but I suppose it doesn't hurt to ask. Obvious, this means that we just signed peace again.

Turn 100 next turn.

T100

Currency is in, and since I still don't have any off-shore trade routes, I only get a 10 commerce boost.

Here's the overview:

9 monsters.

10 cities on T100, which I consider to be quite bad. In comparison, at this time of the game, I had 14 cities in PB20, 14 in PB21 and 12 in PB22. (yes, I actually remembered this..)

I attribute this largely to the early wars that I had and that I didn't have an early game food hammer oriented trait.

Here's a look at the capital:

Very underdeveloped in terms of cottages, considering I did not have a happiness resource hooked until like T70.

Some key cities:

Going for a HG build here.

Reasonably sure that this is the largest city in the world since none of the top 5 cities are over size 8, potential NE city.

I get a GP in 6 turns with a small chance of an engineer. Will decide what to do with it later.

Victory screen:

Demo:

I'm pretty sure I tried to take a cities screen but it didn't take. But I remembered counting 53 pop.

Turn 101

Confucianism founded, seems to be Molach that founded it.

An Engineer and a scientist is spawned this turn. Good chance that Ichabod is the one that got the Engineer, considering he's the one that got the Colossus, implying that he took MC with the Oracle.

We should see the MoM fall shortly.

Honestly, Ichabod is having a great game and should be the favourite to win at this point. Having the Colossus and Fin with the possibly of MoM coming up, the future is certainly looking bright for him.

The other person that could match Ichabod is probably AT, who's got the Great Lighthouse and he's got 11 cities, probably only second to Jowy.

Both Jowy and Cairo have double early game traits and thus are high in score at this time, but they were not able to snowball into any kind of strong advantage, so I'm rather doubtful about their chances to win.

I would say the trio of Adrien, Yuri and Brick are almost certainly out of running by now. All three of them have managed to lose city (cities in Yuri's case) to their neighbours and are doing quite poorly as a result.

For me to have a chance, I need to be able to conquer either Cairo or BGN while avoiding a dogpile. Which honestly seemed like an impossible task at this point. But anything can still happen.

Turn 102

So a bit of a tense moment here:

I actually know that Dreylin has a War Chariot on that galley, since it was spotted on marble island to the east. So he could choose to either steal my worker, or burn my city...

I also uncovered where he is:

Wasn't 100% sure if I could get trade routes, but I still offered Dreylin this deal:

Checked after he played, and he accepted. This is a pretty big deal for me as I'm able to get 3c trade routes from him. Really glad that someone in this game is willing to cooperate for once, I'm going to gift Dreylin my second source of gems as soon as I hook it up.

Most important news though:
