Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

RPB3 SPOILERS Bismarck of India (regoarrarr, darrelljs, sooooo, sunrise089)

3 thoughts:

1) When is our free settler due?

2) When do we want to make our own settler, since the iron site and copper site are both quite good?

3) When can we make some more units? As it currently stands even one Praet pretty much destroys us. Ideally I'd like to get 2promo HAs, but I'm nervous about the time to build barracks+stable, and I don't know if darrell is going to have any of our existing cities as a military pump. If he isn't then I'd like to get 3 unpromoted HAs in the near future. Incentive: the sooner we get some more units the sooner our chariots can go scout.

Settler now t76 if memory serves. I'm more than happy turning the pre-chopped forests at KT into a Settler then some more Workers. Its trading production for commerce, but maybe that's not a bad thing with Rome still a potential ally.

Our 3 military pumps (only one of which is founded) shoudl go Granary -> Forge -> Barracks -> Stables -> HAs I guess. Maybe we do that with two and for the other skip Stables and focus on melee/siege units. And, of course, the Forge can't come until Metal Casting anyway.

Ok. I'd probably favor just one city out of three going stables, though two isn't much of a sacrifice. Three is too much (not that darrell is advocating that) because we'll at least want 1/3 of our cities on siege. What I'm pondering is whether waiting for our lone settled military pump to build a barracks + stable risks too much in the short term (it is definitely ideal in the long term).

Hello Team DJCiv.

I have just finished slogging through all of your oh so many posts from the beginning. *asks myself why I did that again* I thought since I'd made it through the whole thing that I better announce my presence and note that I will only be reading your spoiler thread.

You guys seem to be keeping on top of all the (extensive) diplomacy pretty well and I think it will pay off.

Good luck going forward.

I think Krill will turn on you eventually, and it will be important to have your own alliance firmed up at that time, which you seem to be in the process of doing. Right now he's distracted with France, and it might take a while before he acts, but he won't want to allow your team to get too strong so he won't want to wait too long.

Welcome SC!

Granted we're not rockstars band like Sullla but hopefully we can keep you entertained.

As for Krill, I lean the same way. I think that the only thing that we have going for us is that he and us are the "favorites" or at least the most well-known folks. So there is some incentive I would think in working together.

But we definitely plan to keep an eye on him.

Yikes! It's late in the turn. I moved all of the military units and logged out.

Has anyone moved the workers / changed the city builds?

Nope.

Okay - I chopped with one worker at KT.

I have 2 pairs of workers cottaging at KT and HH.

Both BB and MB are on granaries

And I requested Monotheism from Krill

Okay - logged in and made a few worker moves.

Borrowed one HH worker to finish the KT cottage this turn.

New worker at LN went to mine the silver - it will be done next turn.

I think I vote for a settler out of KT with those forest chops, although we are at -1 gold at 100% gold frown
