RPB3 SPOILERS Bismarck of India (regoarrarr, darrelljs, sooooo, sunrise089)

England wanted confirmation that they're owed Aesthetics for Monarchy, and I confirmed.

They have offered it in game

@darrell can you swap espionage off Maya this turn - we're on 44 EP and we should pick someone else. Have we done Krill yet? If so, I suggest Rome after them.

Good message from ottomans to Aztecs, HRe and us

Quote:Hi AWTA (dunno if you guys have come up with anything else, but that's
what i've been using for us)

Given that DJCiv was also racing for the HG and we neglected to inform
each other about it, we probably aren't working as close together as
we should be. Of course, while CAN exists, there has been little need
to do so (except for the previous example). However, with the end of
CAN coming closer every turn, we should probably start working
together more.

Firstly, I have no doubt that after CAN breaks, we would have to
increase our numbers. This doesn't mean that we should invite more
civs into AWTA (although that doesn't mean we can't), but rather 4
civs aren't going to cut it tech wise when there are 10 other civs
around. We have a few civs in mind for the job but we aren't sure what
relations who guys have with everyone else ATM, so we'll wait until
you guys chip in with your thoughts.

Also, perhaps we should consider attacking someone. I know Ruff is
keen on getting revenge with the Inca, but there are other
possibilities as well. What do you guys think about this?

I don't think I've covered everything, but this is (hopefully) a good
starting point to start some discussion between us. If there is
anything I've missed, feel free to point it out.

Finally, we need to make sure to stick together. Otherwise the other
civs will make their own alliances and we will get left behind.

I suggest we start working on our pitch for the anti-Krill alliance with shrine revenue sharing

I thought he just meant because you're DJCiv. DJCiv loves music. Not that music doesn't have other benefits, but I kind of saw that as a joke on top of the already pretty decent offer.

Done...onto Rome.

I also double revolted to HR and OR, hope no one minds :neenernee. One turn of anarchy.

Quote:A4,

We were quite glad to receive your note, almost as good as landing the Hanging Gardens would have been! There has been too little coordination between AWTA members, however we have taken great comfort in our membership...espeically in light of the fact that France assumed they were CAN members until the last second. To that end, we agree with you that we should plan for a post CAN future, and indeed we should consider being the ones to end CAN rather than waiting for a sneak attack from supposed allies.

Assuming France passes, we will be down to 14 civilizations in the game. We think the next block should be at least 8 strong, and we think again it should be our inner alliance inside an outer alliance. The catalyst to end CAN and build a new reliance around? Plunder of course. We have just completed the sale of our Great Prophet to Egypt, which will go to another shrine. We propose forming an alliance of eight teams that surround Egypt, with the goal of taking out this most dangerous opponent and sharing the income from the shrines, independent of which civ actually controls the shrine.

If we do decide to take this path, we must be very cautious in how we recruit our additional members, as no dobut Egypt has a post CAN strategy, with civilizations already recruited. We propose an IM summit where we can have a frank exchange on the merits of this plan.

Quote:JANK,

We have socialized this idea on our forums and we are in favor of it! As you might imagine we are not interested in Workers given our UU, but either HAs or Catapults would be quite in line. Obviously we'd be willing to sign a NAP in this situation so you know we aren't using the units against you. Settlers are also something we would consider although we probably don't need more than one in the near future. What sort of beaker exchange would you be looking for?

The other thing that would make sense is for us to help your relations with other CAN teams you are interested in befriending. If you need us to talk with anyone (either before or after you've approached them yourselves), we would certainly be willing to do that for you. We've already done it for another non CAN member.

We have to avoid tipping them off at all costs. We propose an IM summit where we can have a frank exchange on the merits of this plan.

Sent this to Carthage, since they did not give us Construction last time:

Quote:Guys,

We've requested Construction in game. Also, just an FYI but Aesthetics should be due in 6-7 turns. We are starting to make progress digging out of the hole war with sumeria/byz/maya caused us. We are thinking about our next tech after this one, possibly using a bulb. Do you have any in mind?
